I used that company when it was called something else, think The Little Eco shop or something. It was recommended on here a couple of years ago and was absolutely fine so wonder what's happened this year. It is a good recommendation @TheContinentalHotel so please don't feel you have to apologise.

Whyisitsodifficult · 14/12/2022 09:34

Has anyone seen any deals on Charlotte Tilbury?

Isyesterdaytomorrowtoday · 14/12/2022 10:19

No worries @TheContinentalHotel i could’ve done some research before ordering but got swept up in a bargain so totally my responsibility. I’m sure I’ll do the same on something next year.

I’ve done a CC chargeback so will hopefully get the money back if nothing else. It’s a shame the products look really good but their customer service is diabolical, like it’s being run by a group of stroppy teenagers.

I feel i need to apologise for suggesting Honestly Eco 😩 I'd never used them before so wasn't a recommendation but their stuff sounded good. I'm still waiting for my order and they have ignored my requests for a refund. I did discover that they used to trade under another name but changed it 'due to abuse over issues with their previous delivery service' 🤔

I received my order within a week. Think it was 30% off and free delivery. A good bargain. The massage oil had leaked a bit but everything else was fine. I was really happy with it. Sorry others have been disappointed

Where can I get some nice hot chocolate bombs from? Online or real life.

DC would like bombs rather than spoons this year but I'm not sure where from!

Martinisarebetterdirty · 14/12/2022 11:52

@Whyisitsodifficult there is some in the Cult Beauty sale, but might not be what you are looking for.

Nekoness · 14/12/2022 11:56

Wonderbly code Hohoho gives you 30% off, even if you’re getting just one book

My Honestly Eco stuff arrived really quickly and I was very pleased with it, so thank you x

Aldi do Christmas shaped ones I think a snowman and penguin which dds enjoyed. And m&s do a percy pig one they love!

Hello you lovely lot, is there any chance anyone knows of a way to get an IKEA discount? Shipping is £40 which is half the cost of the item😭 I nearly fell over!

I also have a Morrisons gift card for £10 if anyone would like it? It was a Vodafone reward but I'm in NI.... they didn't really think that one through

wibdib · 14/12/2022 13:16

@Puffalicious and others that love the hair milk... Do you think it would help to untangle a nasty knotted mess? I was ill a few weeks ago and just completely forgot to brush my hair - and everything I've tried subsequently has made it worse... I'm at the point of considering a big style change because I can't figure out how to rescue it, so wondering if this would be worth a last desperate attempt! Thanks for the advice 😊

Loving all the reminiscences of Christmas bargain threads over the years - have saved so much over the years, was well as getting great ideas for things is never have thought of known about. This year, have dropped in a bit but struggling to find any enthusiasm for sorting Christmas or the oomph to do anything.

Not got to the end of the thread yet today, but the only thing I have to offer at the moment is a clearance sale on Christmas stuff at B&Q - sadly the Christmas tree storage bags that I could have done with went out of stock as I was looking but I did think the inflatable giant Christmas dinosaur sounded fun for those that have a big enough garden!

Does anybody know where you can get really soft boys onesies from for a decent price please? Like the fleece type ones?

FluffyFluffMonster · 14/12/2022 13:32

@wibdib I not used the hair milk but I have thick, curly hair that matts. I use a hair mask which really helps. I would leave it overnight if your hair is bad. Currently using le labo but I'm sure any good mask would work.

I got from primark as a lot of others I looked at were more sweatshirt material than fleece

Would be grateful for any ideas for my 6-year old son - he has become a bit obsessed with the idea of electric ride-on cars and motorbikes: https://www.smythstoys.com/uk/en-gb/outdoor/electric-ride-ons/c/SM060313 - like these. He insisted on putting one on his list in his letter to father christmas, a list which has almost nothing else on it! I think he is possibly too big for these toys now but not sure - and I just don't see where around us (busy road, garden with only grass and no paving, front drive with just gravel!) he would ride on it! does anyone have any advice, or alternatives? I was thinking that maybe there is something we could do as a day out or experience that could involve ride-on things like this? I'm a bit stuck!

I would be so grateful to take this off your hands if it hasn't gone already?

Martinisarebetterdirty · 14/12/2022 15:04

@wibdib you can get something called Brazilian keratin from Amazon, it is amazing stuff. It makes your hair slinky and silky, I’m sure putting some of that through would help. I also like olaplex 3 for treating damaged hair (younger DD has hair that knots as soon as it is brushed and these keep it manageable for her).

Can anyone recommend the best place to buy new vinyl records?
thank you!

TheContinentalHotel · 14/12/2022 15:29

2005325BFE5NHZQV7
Lidl Build a Bear code if anyone can use it

LuckyTigress · 14/12/2022 15:44

@Whyisitsodifficult Sephora have up to 30% off the gift sets.

paintyhands · 14/12/2022 16:00

@Rubyroo73 ideally a local record shop
but if not Amazon is usually a good bet.

I looked in hmv but everything i saw was cheaper on amazon 🤷‍♀️ I know I should be supporting the high street, but bargains be bargains.

PlainJaneSuperBrain99 · 14/12/2022 16:11

I think I'm pretty much finished with gift buying, but I have that annoying niggling feeling I've forgotten something/someone.

Still waiting on several things to be delivered, then I need to do a stock take.
