I need ideas, mine doesn't have much of a list. So far I've got him the alcohol he likes and an accessory for his new games console.

I'm going to get the pot noodle twisty fork thing if I can find it in Menkind on my lunch break, DS loves those mug shots/supernoodles/pot noodles. I haven't yet found the Christmas pot noodle though.

Pot noodles were ASDA. Christmas dinner was 80p or a massive cracker gift with 3 different Christmas ones was £4.

My DS is older now - and even more difficult to buy for! But when he was around that age we got him a voucher for driving lessons and a fly a plane experience from our local small airport. Then it was books, aftershave, whisky, clothes.

DS has asked for trainers. I have also got him
A beard trimmer
Some of his favourite vodka
Driving test books - he starts his lessons after Christmas
A wallet - he is still using the one he had at High school from year 8!
A lot of snacks
Undies
Costa gift card

DS sent me his list last night

Christmas list

Pink ps5 controller
Electric shaver
Jordan 4s black canvas
Years of tears clothes
Any team football gear

❤️

Safe to say I won't be getting the Jordan's because I can't be bothered to deal with resellers. Also this Years of Tears seems to be another brand similar to Cortiez/Trapstar where you have to sign up and wait for 'drops'. I'll be giving him some cash to put towards clothes/trainers and then get the other bits. I causing a keyring bottle opener because he has beautiful teeth and I saw him opening a beer with them the other week 🙄
Also thanks to this thread I will get AirPod cleaning kit and student cookbook.
Maybe a food tray for on his bed (student life) and a nice dressing gown cos he loves being cosy.

Also picking him up next weekend - can't wait!!

My DS are a bit older (early 20's), I've really struggled this year.

DS1 is getting an XBox S series (his old x box has broken), an Oodie and various 'stocking bits' - odd socks, lynx, chocolate sweets

DS2 has asked for a North Face coat. I've also got him a Sherpa blanket for his bed, an iced coffee cup, ice coffee capsules and caramel syrup, plus the usual sweets, etc

movingonup2022 · 20/12/2022 18:17

I am only just getting round to wrapping DS’s gifts and it feels so small!

accessory for games console
botte of favourite alcohol
lynx gift set (yearly tradition!)
choc Santa
bar of chocolate
keyring with specific quote he likes

I’m wary of buying filler gifts just to top up a small pile and may just top up with cash as I’ve spent way less than usual!
