@torthecatlady sounds like you're pretty organised with the tree up and most presents bought. I find writing all the Christmas cards a bit of a chore every year. This year I decided to get them done early before I returned to work after maternity leave, so they were all written at the end of October. I posted the ones that needed to be mailed out yesterday.

I'll join you in being pretty much done for presents now. Just 1 thing left to actually buy once I know what to actually get (from DD's who are 1 and 2 for DH). Majority is wrapped already, just a few things left to be wrapped and a couple of bits waiting to be delivered.

On the flowers front, spent a lot of time trawling through sites this morning for my DM bday. I could get no guarantee of delivery on her birthday anywhere with the normal places I'd go due to post and courier issues. Finally got some from Waitrose, they deliver, no issues on dates and free delivery with FREEXMAS.

Does anyone know much about moonshine? DH showed an interest in it recently in a shop (he likes a drink) but I've never heard of it before. What's the best one to buy and most importantly any bargainous ones out there?

@Pawport I downloaded TikTok and a pop up appeared asking me to opt in to the promotion.

I referred a few people but only one is able to check in. I didn't get the referral bonus for 2 people.

I don't know if each referral link can only be used once or twice?

Or if TikTok have decided you've downloaded it before. I haven't ever had it, yet couldn't get the referral code to work, which is a bit rubbish. They allege I've had it before (nope!).

I couldn't find the gift icon on TikTok to check in for my second day so I tried clicking my own referral link again to see if there were any instructions I had missed and it took me straight to the check in page. No problems checking in from there so I'm just going to do that every day. It could be worth a try if others can't find the gift icon.

Not being thick at all, I couldn’t find it either til another poster helped me 😅 So click on ‘profile’ on the bottom right then when you’re on the profile you should see a present icon on the top left. Click that and It’ll take you to the reward page and you click whichever day you’re on.

That’s rubbish. Someone who I referred it didn’t work for, and they’ve definitely never downloaded it either.

@Iknownothing late to this thread but I am a Geography teacher and recommend Prisoners of Geography by Tim Marshall, a great book to show the importance of geographical location on political and social issues. It will help with her locational Geog too 😀

I hate writing Christmas cards. I'm dyslexic and find it such a chore. We actually cut down the list last year (which felt fantastic), but I have elderly relatives who would be very upset if they didn't receive a card, so I continue to send them. It's always a nice feeling once they're done!

@oatmilkisntsobad thank you. Funnily that's the brand he was looking at in the shop. Any particular flavour the best? How do you drink it? Does it need a mixer? Or drink neat?

@torthecatlady it's only this year I've been organised. Reason being last year I really struggled to write all my cards and wrap all the presents with a young toddler and newborn. I figured this year would be harder with 2 toddlers and being back at work so decided to get ahead to save the stress. It's such a good feeling to have it all done with just a few presents left to wrap.
