@ScarierThanBoo thanks for the title. Hope your slappers keep you lovely and warm and cushion your feet through the winter Xmas Grin

@BloodyMabel Totally agree with the drop in customer service. My DP bought a toy from Argos recently and noticed in the shop it was broken. He told the bloke at the till and the response was 'well what do you expect me to do about it?' My DP asked if they had another and till bloke said 'I dunno'. No attempt to look on the system or anything, just stood there looking at my DP hoping he'd just leave with the broken toy. Was a right ballache trying to get a refund too.

Advice please! My almost 3 year old son is obsessed with the animated Peter rabbit series...typically most of the associated toys have been discontinued! And are now pretty collectible -argh!
I'm trying to get him the little plastic figures. Have managed to get a few main characters from marketplace but I'm struggling for the villains (Mr Tod the fox, Tommy Brock the badger and Old Brown the owl). Am trying FB marketplace, Vinted, Gumtree, and eBay...any other suggestions of places I could try? Ideally that won't require me to take out a mortgage to get them Confused

Have you looked at busy books? DS had a Peter rabbit one that had a load of little plastic characters with it and a playmat.

Thanks a lot @Athlebad

My local home bargains had those massive book advent calendars reduced down to £2.80 from £10 & Tesco had their annuals reduced to £2.50, including the Harry Potter Lego one that comes with a little figure!

Also thrilled with this years Craft Gin Club box, thank you whoever gave the heads up on that one!

Can anyone recommend any good sites for cross stitch kits? Preferably something a little more unusual than flowers / animals etc. thank you !

@SleeptightDaisy I was going to post about footballs best 4 u as ordered in October. Have received a tracking no but says waiting to be reviewed at Royal Mail. When did you order? I suppose the RM strikes will have had an impact but I can’t follow the tracking at all. When did you order?

Squ1ggle · 06/12/2022 15:31

I'm in the same boat with Footballs best 4 u - ordered 10th November and was hoping it would arrive by Sunday for DS's birthday but knew it was unlikely, then got a despatch email on the 24th Nov with a tracking number so got my hopes up. Tracking still says sender despatching item though so I don't think RM even have it yet. It's not the end of the world if he gets it for Christmas rather than birthday, I just hope it actually does arrive by Christmas. I have 3 Evri parcels gone AWOL and an Inpost locker parcel lost too so just getting a bit fed up with deliveries in general atm.

Squ1ggle · 06/12/2022 15:32

oh and smashed grapes and spicery kits not received yet either humph!!

WhichWitchIsTheWitch · 06/12/2022 15:33

My smashed grapes box is now tracking as at the regional mail centre so I’m optimistic it might arrive. Still waiting for other stuff from mid November. Very frustrating as I’ll need to buy something else if it doesn’t ever turn up.

mumonthehill · 06/12/2022 15:34

Well I put my smashed grapes for delivery in the 22 December so now am honestly not sure they will arrive or not depending on the postal strikes. Not a main gift but would like it to arrive!!

LemonFrosting · 06/12/2022 15:35

Has anyone's vodaphone code popcorn tree slabs arrived yet?

InfinityOrUndefined · 06/12/2022 15:47

I got £25 voucher from Shay&Blue because they couldn't full fill my Black Friday order. I rather had taken the Black Friday bundle.

PlainJaneSuperBrain99 · 06/12/2022 15:58

Thanks for all the north face tips.

@deeplybaffled Etsy is amazing for cross stitch, they have so many patterns and a lot of them are available as a kit.

Disneyland2022 · 06/12/2022 16:23

I had an email yesterday to say my popcorn slab will be delivered in 2-3 days by Evri x

DennisSkinnersMolotov · 06/12/2022 16:49

I'm on the lookout for a good insulated water bottle that has a drinkable lid or straw (just something you don't need to remove the lid to drink from). 750ml - 1l ideally and under £20 if anyone has seen any?

InfinityOrUndefined · 06/12/2022 16:50

I got a fabulous one in Asda recently. The make is decor. The blue one with the straw lid is 500ml £10 (I customised it with a sticker- so don't be alarmed!) and I was so impressed how easy it is to use for DS (and light) that I bought the bigger version 780ml £13 for DNeph. This is the black one and has a push button lid- again very easy.

Hope that helps.
