@chocolatepudandchocolatesauce Yup. Outstanding service🙄

I've been talking to them by text so hoping to get confirmation on exactly how it has been sent shortly. Flubadubba's delivery is definitely DPD, mine was supposedly going to be by courier but at this point, I've no idea. It might stand a better chance by Royal Mail. Now I think I'm going to have to send some money to my friend so she can grab something else in the meantime, which is just a massive pain for everyone but I can't get anything else that far north in time.

chocolatepudandchocolatesauce · 30/11/2022 17:17

@CoffeeAndEnnui mine were sent by Royal Mail and dispatched on Saturday. On the Royal Mail tracking it says that it's not guaranteed within 48hours, but it's their aim to get it there within that time. What's the point in paying for 48hr delivery if they may has well just sent it second class at this point!

AnotherOne4 · 30/11/2022 17:22

To add to the Royal Mail fiasco, I know DPD are struggling with orders/massive back logs too.

CoffeeAndEnnui · 30/11/2022 17:26

I thought I was being such a Christmas champion ordering the Candy Kittens stuff early (and cheaply, obvs) so her mum had loads of time to build and stash it. Instead, the bits for DD's refillable calendar that came from flippng China have beat the kittens to it!

InfinityOrUndefined · 30/11/2022 17:35

I have several orders stuck with Royal Mail.
Interestingly stuff I ordered on Sunday from Finland arrived today with DHL!

Puffalicious · 30/11/2022 17:57

I'm new to TopCashBack from these threads- can anyone enlighten me how my earnings are all 'pending'? despite being confirmed last week? I wanted to lodge a claim for less % than was advertised but can't as the amount is still 'pending ' 😒

Passthecoffee · 30/11/2022 18:02

@Puffalicious at times the cash back will be showing as lower until it's confirmed by the retailer and then it will uplift to the correct amount. It's (I think) whenever it's 'confirmed' is when you dispute the amount, TopCashback then go back to the retailer to have it adjusted which can take another few months. Its a slow process.
Retailers can also decline cash back which is pending and you need to raise a case about that too. If you've gone through TopCashback and then use a discount code, they like to use that as a reason to then decline giving cash back.

Shutitwierdo · 30/11/2022 18:05

Had an email from dpd at work today. They are not taking anymore new orders for a while to clear the backlog.

Same here! A parcel sent to me Tracked24 hasn't moved since Saturday despite Monday and Tuesday being non strike days.
The Royal Mail website is now saying that the tracked services are a delivery 'aim' and aren't guaranteed to arrive within the given timeframe.

Passthecoffee · 30/11/2022 18:08

I created a thread to ask this but no one replied so I'm asking the wealth of knowledge here - has anyone got the design a friend house from Argos and is it a good gift for a 3 year old?

Also my 9 year old just made a last minute amendment to her list (before it goes up the chimney to Santa) for a VR headset - any feedback on these and how to nab a bargain?

Thanks!

Ah, that's really useful. Bastards- I've used loads of discount codes too! It's £93 pending, so I'll be well peed off if many are refused.

It’s rare they are cancelled but it takes a while for them to come through and cash in - if you’re expecting cash by Christmas you will probably be out of luck

Chunkychipsohyeah · 30/11/2022 18:21

Thanks for all the brilliant bargains so far! This is just a warning to anyone who ordered a Photobox easel calendar (or maybe their other products too??) to check them before wrapping - mine only contained 11 months! Replacement on its way.

Passthecoffee · 30/11/2022 18:23

@Puffalicious Cox & Cox are the worst offender I find for declining - they always have 20% off yet will decline the cash back using the code.
Fatface like to decline completely even if only part of an order is returned, not the whole order. Hopefully yours will all be ok and you'll have a lovely bonus in January/February to look forward to. Just remember to keep an eye on it, you'll not get a notification that it's moved to confirmed and there's only a certain window of time where you can dispute the amount.
A useful thing they do allow is an uplift for taking your withdrawal at certain retailers which adds to the amount earned as well.

Cantthinkofabettername · 30/11/2022 18:23

Does anyone have any ideas for subscription type presents for my husband please? I did see a curry one on one of the old threads but an being rubbish at finding it. Likes sports, cooking, being annoying etc

bizzey · 30/11/2022 18:26

Yay !!
I put my 2nd order in with hot diamonds birthday code.

DS ( who was by now sick of me asking to use his phone !). said ...
just use another browser .

My blank look prompted him to take my phone and we did it .

No way was I missing out on that bargain !

Now just waiting for my. 12% discount code to come through from Reggatta and last order can go through.

Ehunt1 · 30/11/2022 18:32

@Chunkychipsohyeah i had to email photo box too about my easel calendar, despite editing the photos on their site to include everyone in the photos, they’ve chopped off the heads in almost every photo!

ChristmasCwtch · 30/11/2022 13:28

Definitely not a bargain, but thought I’d share in case anyone else is looking for one… I just picked up the pregnant guinea pig from The Entertainer. It’s showing out of stock everywhere, but when I called my local store they had 2 in stock last night. It wasn’t possible to reserve or pay over the phone. When I got to the store earlier, there was only 1 left and apparently another person had called just after me and was also planning to go to the store. So I was lucky on the timing. Apparently the website click n collect function is disabled if there are less than 3 units in a store. So it’s worth calling around even if the website says out of stock.

I think it’s more a toy for me than my DS 😂 He much prefers Lego and Hot Wheels

I like the look of this too but no way am paying the price it is now. Hoping to see a reduction in Jan sales.

Could you tell me the hot diamond codes you used. I've not placed an order yet but need something now.

A word of caution on HotDiamonds - check what you have actually been charged.

I put in a big order for presents. I paid at £200 (PayPal), but the email recruit and my PayPal account show £240 charged. It looks like that amount showing in my basket for each item was excluding the VAT which was then added AFTER I checked out. Fortunately I took screenshots of the basket so I could remember what I bought.

ChristmasCwtch · 30/11/2022 19:04

@WimbyAce £65 is bonkers. My plan is to buy it when it comes back into stock (perhaps in January) with my jacks club discount for £52. And then return it under the more expensive receipt. Probably not worth the hassle for the £13 saving, but makes me feel better about the lump of plastic 😂

Can anyone who has received the Smashed Grapes tasting kit, confirm whether it fits through a letter box? Mum just announced she'll be away around the days I put for delivery! TIA

Mine came through the letter box

With all the talk of Guinea pigs on the thread thought someone might like these- reduced in price alpaca fur Guinea pigs. I’ve got several for all my nieces and they came yesterday and are soooo realistic and soft I may just have to keep one for me!
