Brown paper for wrapping?

Does anyone use brown parcel paper and decorate it with ink stamps and if so, can you recommend where to buy it from online?

There is so much “parcel paper” for sale but I’ve found it to be too shiny to take stamps before, the ink runs and rubs off. I have some lovely stamps and I’d like to take the eco option this year!

Anyone able to recommend/provide a link? TIA 🥰

I got some from The Works. It's fairly thin but only about £1 a roll. It would definitely be stamp-able

Definitely don't want shiny - if its shiny it often isnt recyclable in normal recycling (as well as being crap for stamps!)

Kraft from Amazon takes stamps and tape. We’ve used it for years.

Amazing, thank you!

I got some from sainsburys last year but sellotape doesn’t stick to it! 🙈 So I don’t recommend theirs!

🤦‍♀️ Paper which basically fails to function, well done sainsbos!!

Use a different ink pad. Some ink will never dry on shiny or coated paper.

Poundland paper here. We don't put stamps or any sort of ink or paint on it. We use decorative ribbon which is used year after year. The paper is torn up and composted, layered between fruit and veg peelings.

This is for birthdays and other celebrations, we don't really do Christmas.

My cousin once made lots of drawstring bags in a range of sizes using Christmas fabric. She uses those instead of paper and everyone knows to hand them back afterwards.
