Years back we bought enormous stockings for our six kids - seemed like a great idea at the time.

they’re all now teenagers and I’m looking for ideas to fill the stockings for as low cost as possible.

any ideas??

I generally fill them with bits I'd buy through the year anyway. So things like socks, knickers, bubble bath/shower gel, shampoo, pens, glue sticks, packets of tissues, etc. Always put a chocolate orange in too and usually some choc coins/sprouts type of thing.
Envelopes with money in from family members get stuck in the top too so they don't accidentally end up in the rubbish with wrapping paper.

A roll of bubble wrap, weird but they will love it - can be recycled in the soft plastics section at Supermarkets.

I've always put DDs Christmas day outfit in her stocking. This year black skinny jeans and a red check shirt. Not tat and she'll wear it for ages but bulky.
Magazine
Pot of American sweets
Pop tarts
Giant marshmallows.
More personal items she wouldnt want to open infront of grandparents / uncle.

Hi @Pringlesaremyspiritanimal - thanks for posting! I can see you've had some great suggestions already, but also wanted to point you in the direction of our page for the best stocking fillers. It's made up of recommendations from Mumsnet users for a wide range of ages and all come in around the £10 mark or under. Hope it's of some use, please feel free to let us know if you've any feedback! Xmas Smile
