It is hubby's birthday on boxing day so he got us a joint present - a child-free holiday!!!!!!!!!

He's booked us a cheap week in Tenerife in March and has arranged for my mum to come down and look after dc's.

Because we live hundreds of miles from family and don't really know anyone in the area well enough to trust them babysitting we don't get out much just the two of us so I'm totally stoked we'll get a full week.

Mine brought me the cd's I wanted. ... he forgot, I recieved them at lunch today. I wouldn't of minded but he got his dvd's (he wanted) yesterday morning, he only remembered when we were all talking about our fav pressies at lunch.

I got a voucher for a jewellery-making lesson.

The obscure history books I asked for.
So I definitely win

Another book that I had been reading on holiday earlier this year - it was at the house we were renting so I left it there. Top marks for noticing that.

BUT - best of all - a 4 day yoga course, starting today. 2 hours of yoga a day for 4 days from 6-8pm. So while I lie in a darkened room concentrating on my breathing he has to give the DCs tea, baths, put them to bed and then start our supper. Its the gift that keeps on giving...

My DP got me a little electronic device that helps me locate my purse/keys/phone etc as I drive myself round the bend trying to find these things of a morning. V happy now - no more endless searches [big sigh of relief emoticon]

Plus we got each other a Wii.

Mine didn't get me anything as we agreed not to buy each other anything (majorly skint!). We did have a lovely day though

Mine. Two CDs, one from him, one from DS. The best pressies ever because we'd agreed he wouldn't waste any money on me, so it was a lovely surprise.

I had a gorgeous eco-watch, My booky Wook, Russell Brand DVD, a really chunky long cardigan that is more like a coat and lovely and soft and cosy, and a CD that wasn't actually the one I'd been hinting about but it was close.

My DSD got a marriage proposal from her long term boyfriend (she is 21) I think that was fab!

I am feeling very spoilt!

I got a new mobile phone ....at LAST....a nice pink Sagem my300C ...my phone was ancient (actually one of DH's old ones......that he replaced about 5yrs ago ) so it's nice to have a modern, girly phone that even if I keep it for 10yrs the DS's will NEVER want to borrow.

I got GHD straighteners.
