How much did you spend on your xmas food shopping?

i spent £145 on me and the 2 kids, it will last 2 weeks, still at that much but if dh had been living with us it would probably be much higher.

will drag out the receipt and post it in a bit.

Ours for 5 of us was £115 from Waitrose. Doesn't include any wine, but we won't spend loads on that, does include turkey and a ham to cook.

I was pleased actually - it's normally far more than that, but we always buy far too much, and then go on holiday, so wanted to make sure we didn't waste TOO Much!!!

And dp has now told me that we have no teabags left!

For 5 of us, not the main meal but two otehr formal roasts with family over and a buffet included in it- and guests here for 2 days, plus the normal food shop for a week- about £250 I guess, only £150 more than normal realy (bearing in mind costs of gluten free foods for ds etc)

Over £300 so why has dh just had to go to Asda to pick up something for our tea?

yes...its an all you can eat buffet place, very informal, but very nice to go for a meal with kids....they feel all grown up when we treat them there instead of just a happy meal or something!! he loves trying all the different foods....at 2.5 we first took them there and for weeks after if we got in the car he was asking if we were going to the chinese!!

he got a choice of mummy making his fave food, pizza hut or the chinese, and it won hands down!!

i though my xmas shop would be much cheaper than it has been, but i suppose as its my first one i've gone all out to make sure we have plenty to last us!!
