Hi All

I like to include a small gift with the Christmas card for each of the people in my team (there are 12 of them) - but really struggling to find something this year. Last year I got each of them a Christmas decoration that was personalised with their name. I'm not against a decoration of some kind this year, I think it's quite nice to get something to hang on your tree but just can't find anything so far (decoration or otherwise). It needs to be quite inexpensive as it's only a token really and there are 12 of them - any ideas?

xx

A packet of seeds.
Bee friendly flowers or vegetables? Chilli seeds?

Buy them each a cheap Cadbury advent calendar?

Shortbread or chocolate.
Can be eaten by recipient, shared at morning tea at work or re-gifted.

Fancy Italian bar soap. Something like Nesti Dante. You can get 2 of those sets that come with 6 different bars.

Yorkshire biscuit tea and some border chocolate covered ginger biscuits. Less than £4. Delicious. No waste.

Or a nice jar of upmarket chutney/jam/marmalade. Waitrose's own chutneys are £2.25 each and so lovely.

This will be my first year of nit buying my team gifts aa I demoted myself. In past years I've bought cheaoish mugs and filled them with Lindor, bought wine glasses (in my local chemist of all places)and ordered mini pink prosecco bottles to go with them, bought killer jars and filled with chocs, candle holders reduced by 70% in Jan sales. Personalised fun notebooks and a pen, molten brown minis with facemasks and lipsalve wrapped in Christmas socks. it's a fun token gift out my own pocket so tried to keep it under £10.

I would appreciate a £2 advent calendar (festive, most people either like chocolate or know someone who likes chocolate!) far more than a £5 decoration which I wouldn’t choose for myself. You could save the other £2 for Easter eggs…

I wouldn’t do any kind of cosmetic or body stuff as you never know of any issues with brands and people are often quite fussy when it comes to smells.

one thing that has gone down well with my team in the past is a few mini cheese truckles and some chutney and or crackers. Easy to do at £10 a head.

Most of my team are very appreciative of a bottle of plonk. mini pamper kits also please my team of girls (mini bottle of plonk or cocktail can, chocs, bath bomb and votive candle in a gift bag). Again this can be done for no more than £10pp by taking advantage of multibuys.

If your budget is closer to £5 a head, a greggs breakfast has always been well received (sausage, egg or bacon bap and a coffee), as has lunch from the chippy (ours does various box meals for £5pp). Buffet breakfast is another affordable way of showing thanks whilst allowing staff chance to have a catch up - pastries, fruit, orange juice, good coffee etc.

treats for the workroom is another idea - frothy coffee sachets, nice biscuits, fruit platter etc. This can look a more substantial gift for a similar amount of money spend on a few multi packs of chocs split between several people
