This happened to my sisters friends partner, he brought 2 & paid £600 on ebay, they never turned up & he lost his money, not sure how he paid though i did'nt ask!

I hope you get your money back.

MegBusset · 02/12/2007 21:10

Also you must call the police and get a crime reference number, the cc company will demand this before refunding you.

bubblerock · 02/12/2007 21:16

Essbee can you post the sellers name so that people can avoid them - are they still trading? How much did you pay for it?

I should have 2 coming from Germany
Zwischensumme: 518,00 EUR
Versandkosten: 19,95 EUR
Enthaltene MwSt.: 85,89 EUR
Endbetrag: 537,95 EUR

If you don't find one locally you can have one of those for the price I paid + postage, I think it works out at £191.50 for the wii. Keep an eye on Woolies/John Lewis/Amazon as they do get stock in.

MegBusset · 02/12/2007 21:19

DH says that he will look into your case if you run into any problems, so post back here if you want to get in touch with him.

NB I am not married to Nicky Campbell.

Just looked the seller up & i am sorry but he has a listing for bloody laptops at £1,200 & someone has clearly stated it is a hacked account in the feedback, why are ebay letting this account still go, yet more people getting conned, this is so so wrong, ebay make me sick!

bubblerock · 02/12/2007 21:49

Essbee - you may still get it, did you buy on the 27th? It's still early days, I'm hoping it will get to you, ask for a tracking number from the seller. Maybe you could contact the other buyers to see if they have received theirs one guy bought 3!

It looks as though he had 10 for sale and they are probably coming from Hong Kong ish area.

Give it a bit of time, his feedback wasn't that bad really, DON'T PANIC!!

VeniVidiVickiQV · 02/12/2007 22:24

How long since you bidded/won?

MegBusset · 02/12/2007 22:28

If you call your local station they will take your details and call back (prob in a few days) to give you a reference number.

sparklygothkat · 02/12/2007 22:29

I wouldn't worry yet, the laptop feedback was left the same day as someone brought it and the wii feedback was left 3 days after they brought it... impatient me thinks!!

SoupDragon · 02/12/2007 22:32

Essbeeee...over here

Piffle · 03/12/2007 12:07

if you email the email seller via the button does it respond?
Hackers usually do put up anothe email addy on the listing...
Easy enough to check

Essbee - you are worth more than any Wii mate, keeping my fingers crossed that it gets to you!

VeniVidiVickiQV · 03/12/2007 16:28

Essbee - answer my question fgs woman

When did you buy it? Not sure they'd entertain a claim just yet - usually 14 days?

psychomum5 · 03/12/2007 16:49

essbee this is horrible for you.

I had a much more minor Christmas tragedy last year with a DVD I bought for dd from ebay. Really similar kind of scam to what you're describing. The guy got his ebay account closed down and I received a full refund from paypal. The paypal refund is entirely dependent on whether the gits who've ripped you off have anything in their bank account for ebay to draw out. It did take a while though, nearly a month in the end I think. You may find getting your credit card people involved is more fruitful.

blushingm · 04/12/2007 21:32

i got ripped off on ebay with a ps3 - got my money back from paypal in full. All the people who got stung by the tw*t started an ebay group - it was reported to police etc, one person even tracked down the guys home address - we were obviously very bitter people with too much time on our hands. Log everythin with paypal - they have to give the seller 14 days to respond i think - no response means it goes in your favour - agree to contact your cc co to temp increase your limit - you cn always reduce it when christmas is a distant memory and funds are a bit more readily available

Oh no - have you spoken to your cc company yet? I have a German wii console here if you manage to get some money together and get desperate.
