PestoMonster · 17/11/2007 17:57

My parents & us 4. 'Tis enough. They usually stay for 4/5 days and that's just about right.

Julezboo · 17/11/2007 18:34

tassisssss · 17/11/2007 18:39

15 Taiwanese students!

FrannyandZooey · 17/11/2007 18:41

The many and varied customers and staff of our local pub

oh all right, we are actually going to them rather than them coming here

Sparkler · 17/11/2007 18:43

Well there will be Me, DH, DD1, DD2, Mum, Step-Dad, MIL, My Sister and her Boyfriend. Hmmmph! Don't think I'm gonna get much of a rest. I shall make sure I start drinking alcohol for breakfast with good intentions to carry on all day until I fall asleep and they all have to entertain themselves! [winbk]

seb1 · 17/11/2007 18:53

Nobody, infact DH is working so just me and the DDs

Hulababy · 17/11/2007 18:53

Just me, Dh and 5yo DD on Christmas Day - just as we choose to have it. Family from both sides round on Boxing Day.

janeite · 17/11/2007 19:56

It will be just the four of us here. We started this tradition about 5 years ago and would rather not have it any other way now. We see all the family in between Boxing Day and New Year's Eve, depending where they are.

Whaleybog · 17/11/2007 20:00

Us 3, MIL, BIL and Aunt in law coming 24-27
My parents 27-29 with 2 Bros and 2 SILs and nephew and neice coming on 28 only.

eandh · 17/11/2007 20:04

my parents and my great uncle (recently widowed and no children but my dd's adore him) my brother and gf and nephew were coming but staying at theirs for dinner with her mum and brother but coming to us for tea.

So 7 for dinner (eeek its my 1st year of staying at home and cooking dinner so will be panicking!)

12 for tea

Actually I think doing all the bits for tea will take longer than dinner!! (am at expense of it all plus we have dd2 birthday 12 days later and need to sort her party and food!)

CantSleepWontSleep · 17/11/2007 20:05

mustrunmore, her dh and their 2 ds are coming for a couple of days, and my in-laws are coming for Christmas lunch too.

PrincessGoodLife · 17/11/2007 20:09

LadyOfWaffle · 17/11/2007 20:10

Just me and DS for most the day as DH is working, then my dad is coming over.

Blimey Mars and Tassis

What are you going to cook for that many people?

Only 6 people here (we 4, plus my mum and brother and possibly his partner - it's always a last minute decision with her)

paulaplumpbottom · 17/11/2007 20:17

Me, Dh, dd
e
MIL &FIL
SIL &BIL, nephew& niece
BIL
SIL's mother

carries · 17/11/2007 20:21

First year cooking in my own home. Helped on previous years at my mum's or MIL.

Having the whole family. Myself, DH, DD1 (3.5) DD2 (10 mos), mum, dad, sister and BIL, nephew (10 mos), MIL and SIL. Looking forward to it! My DD1 is so all excited about all her family coming on Christmas day but I didn't realise what a grip she had on the concept "family" till she asked "oh goody, are Grandpa and Mary (DH step mum) coming too?". They won't be.

MarsLady · 17/11/2007 23:00

I do the turkey. My sisters do a leg of lamb, a ham and chicken plus the veggies and potatoes. One BIL does a large fish. Everyone brings bottles and desserts etc. We all make sure to have our tupperware so that we can pack leftovers so that no one has to cook for several days. I love love love love love it!!!!!!!!!!!
