Hi everyone! I followed the Christmas threads last year for first time - or tried to as they moved too fast! - and thought of you guys this morning when I got a camel camel alert.

Jolly Christmas postman is down to £8.46 on Amazon - lowest it's been for a year.

BEE08 · 15/05/2021 09:02

Hi all!! I followed the thread last year. I found some of the Acorn wood board books, Postman Bear, hid and seek pig, Rabbit's nap and Fox's socks for £2:49 in Aldi. This is the cheapest I've found.

TheGriffle · 15/05/2021 09:17

The Entertainer has their B Friend doll range reduced. Just bought 3 dolls, a 4 outfits/accessories and a loft bed for £72 instead of about £200. I think my 4 year old will love them. There’s more I want to buy so hoping they’re still on offer next month when it’s pay day again.

allatonce99 · 15/05/2021 09:32

The cinnamon roll bake kits are down to £3.08 this morning BUT you need to buy 2 at once. They were delicious so won't last till Christmas! Not sure if the date would last anyway but a good price 😋

mogtheexcellent · 15/05/2021 09:41

I still have my cinnamon roll kit because I had to stay home with cinnamon hating people. Its going to be a half term treat for when I finally get to my parents house.

Tolouse · 15/05/2021 12:46

Could anyone help me with the cheapest or best way to buy an Xbox console for ds's birthday in July? We're looking either for the new s series of the Xbox one S console second hand. I may just have to bite the bullet.

We also need a TV to go with it.

And if anyone can explain to me why I have agreed to this, I would also be grateful.

finallychangedmyusername · 15/05/2021 19:38

The Entertainer have a sale on, online and instore. I saw some jigsaws instore down to £1 each - sadly DS1 was with me at the time so I couldn't pick up anything!

Mrsfussypants1 · 15/05/2021 23:59

Also Entertainerthey have some fab bits for kids who are into our generation/designafriend/18 inch dolls. B friend's tent and working lantern £6 was £20, hair styling chair £6.25 was £25, they also had loft bed I think it was £8 or less and wheelchair set £6 ish. Bought the tent a few weeks bag for £10 and thought it was a bargain then, the little lantern makes cricket sounds.

@Tolouse have a look at Cex - second hand but guaranteed for 24mths.
Ds got an xbox one s for xmas and it's been great - definitely need 1TB or an external hardrive though, 500gb is not big enough.
Also, unless you specifically want a tv, it's best to get a computer monitor as they give better results (lots of tech specifications about refresh rates etc!) magicsize

ScarlettDarling · 16/05/2021 09:44

Some fab HarryPotter stuff in Aldi. The 500 piece jigsaws for £4.99 look great and I can’t find them online but instore yesterday they had amazing 3D jigsaws for only £9.99.

gbpaln · 16/05/2021 09:53

@Someaddedsugar thank you!!

MerylSqueak · 16/05/2021 09:55

@sorryiasked This is Tolouse - l name changed. Thanks very much for that 24 months is really good. Thank you even more for the computer monitor tip. I'm completely new to this and didn't know that. We have a spare already, so you've just saved me £100+ Smile Flowers

Methenyouplus4 · 16/05/2021 13:50

Happy to join you all, I think it's about my 6th or so year now. Normally, I use this thread for specifics and fill in little bits from the charity shops. Due to the closures, this is my least organised year to date, I normally have about half the stuff I want, and this year I have...precisely zero.

AliceMcK · 16/05/2021 14:03

I’ve picked a few “free” just pay shipping, things up off wish already as stocking fillers, Harry Potter themed necklaces, makeup, fidget stuff. Got a peppa pig cardboard house to colour in from Aldi for my peppa obsessed 3yo.

Unfortunately I havnt done my usual January blitz in the sales for Christmas themed bits for obvious reasons. I like to rummage in the shops rather than buy online, but hoping to make up for that now. I still plan to be done by October though.

MerylSqueak · 16/05/2021 19:34

Does anyone know if Marks and Spencer will have a 20/ off anytime soon

Daisy829 · 17/05/2021 10:47

Sorry about the link!

Adelais · 17/05/2021 13:17

Melissa and Doug Skills Board down to £7.61 amzn.to/3w6wDiQ
Looks good for a toddler.

MissingMo · 17/05/2021 13:34

Lisa Angel have a clearance sale on. I've bought 3 different times. Always quick arrival.

SpamIAm · 17/05/2021 16:23

@mogtheexcellent

You've got this all wrong. Surely the best time to make delicious cinnamon treats is while you're the only person in the house who's going to eat them?
TheGriffle · 17/05/2021 20:13

Poundtoy have 50% off their clearance items with MOVE50

I’ve just spent £46 on some lovely stocking fillers for my girls (not all from the clearance section but still good prices) pikmipop toys, watercolour paint set, play doh bath soap and of course the naff little bits, reindeer poop putty, those little bugs with the wiggly legs in a little wooden box, slinky and touchable bubbles etc.

Iseeyoulookingatme · 18/05/2021 08:10

Typo have a big sale on at the moment. I've just had some lovely bits for ds new bedroom but they have loads of gift things.

superstar84 · 18/05/2021 08:46

Reduced to 16.50 at the checkout. You can ask for certain colours in the notes section. Always a good present. They do 13.50 customisation kits which are great for teens so worth getting on the mailing list as well.
