been tempted with chicken
dont want pork or beef since i doubt they go with pigs in blankets

or stick with tradition?

IMO pigs in blankets go with everything!

Jamie Oliver did a stuffed turkey leg on a show lastnight, if you didnt want to buy a whole crown or bird for just 3. You can buy those giant turkey legs fairly cheap, remove the bone, flatten, add a stuffing, roll into a sausage shape and tie with kitchen string. It looked easy to carve and delicious!

We have an extra small turkey crown (serves 3-5) and a chicken.

I don't like turkey and DDs prefer chicken.

We're having sow cooked brisket and still having pigs in blankets! And Yorkshire puds. And stuffing! I wanted a meet I could cook long and slow without needing to stress about timings since it's just us and the dc.

We’re having chicken and a small gammon joint between three of us tomorrow as it’ll yield decent leftovers for my mum who’s recovering from surgery (in a support bubble). Then beef Wellington on Christmas Day as it’s just DH and I as I’m working (perils of healthcare).

I'm cooking for three meat eaters, they've asked for beef. I'm still doing pigs in blankets but don't think I can be bothered with Yorkshire Puddings, unless I cook them in the morning and reheat them.

We have decided that, as there are only 3 of us we will do lots of our family traditional Xmas food but not all at the same time. So evening of 24th (which is when we usually have our big party/meal) we will have a stuffed turkey crown and Brussels etc. Wait a day or so to eat leftovers, then a ham in gingerale. Then a day or so later a duck. Then a roast beef and Yorkshire (normally would have all of these meats out in a big buffet on 24th). So, for the nd to never ending 2020, the never ending Xmas Dinner...

There are ï¼” of us but only 3 that like turkey, (not including the cat) we get a small turkey crown which has enough for turkey sandwiches the next day.

There's 3 of us and I bought a turkey for 5-6 as I like a few days of leftovers. Nice to be able to tell the teenage dds to help themselves to leftovers rather than cook

Beef en Croute here... and pigs in blankets.

You could buy a Turkey leg, debone and stuff it - that would be my option if I was forced to cook Turkey. The white meat is tasteless and really difficult to not dry out. This could just be my cooking.

I've bought a beef joint big enough for 4/5 so there won't be much leftover but I'm also roasting a ham Christmas Eve so there will be plenty of meat for sandwiches etc.

I've ordered a rather large turkey crown for just three of us 🙈. I know there will be lots left over but I normally make a pie, turkey cheese burgers, curry etc. I'm now remembering all the threads last year on food poisoning by reheating the cooked meat though...Sad.
I love the leftovers more than the actual christmas dinner.

We’ve got a turkey breast for 2 from Cook. For DH and 2x under-6s who won’t eat much. I’m veggie. Should have just done a pile of pigs in blankets I reckon, turkey is more just for tradition in this house!
