The one thing i always tend to do is make sure they have the same amount of gifts to open, i don't always spend the same on them as one daughter may really really want an item at £15 and the other £50. I never try and match as it's usually money not needed to spend.
I agree with this, omy DDs asked for 2 things (down to us limiting xmas lists) be DD asked for make up & a laptop case for the laptop we got her last year. She's 6, the laptop cost £8 from a charity shop, the personalised case I've got was £10 & for the make up we bought a 2nd hand case in a charity shop for £4 & lots of glittery sparkly make up from sale boxes & home bargains. Dd1 wants a £130 LOL play set & a robot, DD3 wants peppa toys & dollys. I've got DD3 lots of peppa toys off Ebay & home bargains as well as princess dolls in HB clearence bin for 99p each. At the end of the day they roughly have the same amount of gifts but prices vary considerably. Next year that may change in who gets what spent on them, but I know they wont care as long as they get what they really want.
P.s they have far more than they ask for, we only limit to ensure we can afford what they really want and so they know that they cant ask too.much of santa.
On top of the above they have Designafriend play sets, HP lego, microscope, metal detector, dress up, slime , archery set, punching bag, new xmas outfits for their dolls, arts & crafts. DD1 didn't get her LOL dolls be her own tablet which she didn't ask for because she didn't think she'd get one, other DDs have them too, just cheap ones so I can have my phone & ipad back to myself.
