Like the title suggests, we have a few nice food treats, individually wrapped pants haha and some skin coloured high lighters but what else for girls that your trying to stay away from things to do with appearance?

(Their stockings are proper stockings (not sacks) so restricted to size, a paper back would be a push!!! Grin

Girls are 12 & 14

Oh and I forgot
Cute thumb drive
Lip balm

Lovemusic33 · 30/11/2020 15:27

My DD’s are not girly...

Novelty socks
Sprout stress ball (paper chase)
Glasses case
Notebooks
Pens
Bath bomb
Pop tarts
Beanie boo (tradition, even though dd is now 16)
Mini puzzle (rubix puzzle from tesco)
Fidget rings
Multi tool
Phone charging lead
Grow your own cactus/fly trap/chillies

Scittle · 30/11/2020 20:58

@Jumbojem

Nice pens, blue light glasses, cute screen cleaner (my preteen/teen boys want these, little soft animals with microfibre tummy to clean tech screens), hairbands or a necklace (maybe straying into appearance). Voucher for a coffee shop, hot choc powder and mini marshmallows? New phone case or pencil case?
Ooh, any links for the screen cleaners?

Great thread, following for ideas

DrFoxtrot · 30/11/2020 23:35

@Jumbojem I'm also looking for cute screen cleaners! Where did you get yours?

thelegohooverer · 01/12/2020 00:31

Chocolate Santa
Vintage comic books (the small a5 ones)
Lego
Jar of biscuit spread

Clip on Christmas earrings

PurpleFrames · 01/12/2020 01:06

There's a really long tread about this from last week HTH

Help! Teenage DD. No presents www.mumsnet.com/Talk/Christmas/4085347-Help-Teenage-DD-No-presents

The screen cleaners I got in the garden centre! One of those ones with lots of non garden bits. www.ebay.co.uk/p/1340422073
They are dusty pups, there are some and other versions here.

bendmeoverbackwards · 01/12/2020 09:11

@Jumbojem where did you get the animal screen cleaners please?

bendmeoverbackwards · 01/12/2020 09:12

Ooops sorry just seen your link above! Thank you

Iwantacookie · 01/12/2020 09:15

I'm the same with dd.
So far she has, slippers, gloves, posh tissue box and that's it. She has no hair so hair stuff is pointless. Really stuck for her.

ElfDragon · 01/12/2020 09:22

Assortment of sweets and choc coins (obviously)

Bookmarks (funny ones, posh ones, personalised ones - my children seem to lose bookmarks constantly!)

Animal crossing amiibo cards (for one of them)

Lego Mario blind bags/mini figure (either theme or personalised)

Nail scissors/manicure set ( it looks related as essential maintenance!)

Pencils with a theme/saying

Set of fairy lights for their room

Enamel pin badge

Pocket hand warmer/new gloves

mammmamia · 01/12/2020 09:22

I got DD a face mask and scrunchie set from monsoon.
DS has got a themed glasses case.
They’ve both got a key ring with their names on with a mini torch in it. The kind of thing you get from a big garden centre.
Great ideas here

keeganface · 01/12/2020 09:30

My dd is 14 and isn't into make up. In her stocking I have

Socks
Phone pop socket
Pens
Keyring
USB cable
Pencil sharpener (in shape of camera)
Hair bands
Bath bomb
Little packet of fake snow
Body spray

I find stationery is normally a big hit, those hot chocolate stirrers etc.

teaandcustardcreamsx · 01/12/2020 15:00

Power bank/portable charger
Cable cover (cheap on Amazon, do Disney style ones)

caperplips · 01/12/2020 15:09

DD is 15 and this year her stocking will have:

an apple charger
chocolate coins
lindt chocolate santa
character mug from a cartoon she loves
small soap with her initial on it from anthropologie
a gel eye mask
Japanese treats (pot noodle, crisps, sweets from a Japanese website)
makeup brushes
Tony's chocaloney x 2 bars
a phone case with a character from a show she likes
Stickers of cartoon characters
new film for her instant camera

bendmeoverbackwards · 01/12/2020 17:10

Ordered the animal screen cleaner thing, think that will go down well.

I've also got a personalised Nutella jar - buy the name label from Ebay and stick it on a 400g jar.

Lindt chocolate reindeer and chocolate coins I do every year.

nemeton · 01/12/2020 17:20

Mine always loves Christmas socks
A little sewing craft kit (e.g. make a bauble, penguin, owl etc)
Lovely stationery
Colourful laces
Guitar picks
Cinder toffee
A book, always
Gloves
Lip balm (winter type)
Small earrings
A Christmas decoration

bendmeoverbackwards · 01/12/2020 18:18

@nemeton love the craft kit idea. Any recommendations for one that’s easy to do?

Aponcetasticchristmastoall · 01/12/2020 18:52

Thank you so much everyone’s help, filled their stockings and then some...

Thought I’d stick down what I’d ended up buy in case it helps someone else.

(Meant to say I’m not completely against makeup or beauty bits they are unfortunately very interested in it but I’d already got a few things and I’m just very cautious about what I’m encouraging at theirs impressionable age!!)

DD 14
Screen wiper
Ordinary cleanser
Spray for her very curly hair
tie dye socks
A jar off Biscoff
Olivia Bonas earrings (in the sale)
Bamboo toothbrush
(Small) line a day journal
Skin colour tone pens
Doodle dazzle pens
Pants
Chocolate Lindt teddy
Chocolate Malteser reindeer
Lush bath bomb
bubbles to go in drinks

DD 12

Ordinary cleanser
Satsuma body shop shower Gel (little joke because she eats so many satsumas we keep saying she will turn into one!!)
Tie dye socks
A jar of Biscoff
Cheap ear pods
Bamboo toothbrush
Riding socks
Le Mieux tail bandage
Hair nets
riding gloves

Pants
Lindt teddy

MrsMiaWallis · 01/12/2020 20:07

Great and I've nicked the tail bandage idea!

OrigamiPenguinArmy · 01/12/2020 20:19

My almost 13 year old has

Oreo selection box
Pusheen mug (charity shop £1 bargain)
Escape room game
Cupcake cookery book
Donut scented shower gel
Fluffy socks
One of those paper trees that “grows” flowers
Stress ball type toy
A couple of blind bags from £1 toys
A cuddly octopus you can turn inside out to show grumpy face or a happy face
A couple of packs of hi chew (a Japanese chewy sweet)

horseymum · 01/12/2020 20:31

Some great ideas here, am stealing the hoofpick as we ride a friend's horse but can never find her hoofpick.
