Just that, both 70, no real hobbies, they do like drinking wine, but that just seems a cope out unless something amazing and I know nothing about wine, they drink red. I have previously bought them a grape vine.

They always complain about gifts or give them away. But I will see them Xmas day I need something

Last year I did a winter plant hamper, with some chocolates and wine, they didn't crack a smile. I can't bare wasting my money on them 😬

Seriously, don't waste your money. They clearly don't care about what they get you because they ask and deliberately don't buy what you want but also refuse to give you money.

I 'd use money as an excuse this year to stop doing presents altogether

January you tell not ask that you aren't going to be doing adult Christmas presents any more.
This year buy some wine and stop thinking about it, thinking of the perfect present is a game they are not going to let you win.

@AgentProvocateur I did get my parents a wine society membership and they opened it yesterday on Skype. My Dad did his usual hmmmm look and didn't say much. However this morning he has emailed me and said it's a "very clever present." I think that translates as he likes it ConfusedGrin I added some extra credit too, for him to get them a case of wine. I think this might be my most successful gift EVER, so thank you very much for your suggestion I'll be back next year for more ideas.

Another time do a shop just for the food bank, and give them the receipt, saying you’ve given their present to someone who needs and will appreciate it.
