please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Here’s Barbarara’s instructions from last year on doing clicky links:

Open double square brackets
No space
Paste link
Space
Name of link
No space
Close double square brackets

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

For more links etc see message 2

If any link doesn’t work or you want to add something please let me know by @ing me Thanks

@BalaamsAss NI here too. ☹️

Our fake tree is up already but I've got 1.5hrs tomorrow or 2 on Sat to run the town as don't want to be out next week & I'll be busy. Thankfully, in large part to these threads I am well sorted for Christmas gifts.

Hoping things take a turn for the better soon

JessicaJoans · 19/11/2020 21:49

icanboogie it’s not connected to the film, but I noticed a Lottie doll ballerina on an Amazon deal today

Doordye · 19/11/2020 21:54

I’ve not used mumsnet for so long I couldn’t remember my username or password. Anyway after lurking & buying practically every bargain that I needed and those I didn’t I’ve got a code to share so reset my password to login. Babipur 10% ACORN

I’m trying to stop myself buying the melting set from HC, I’ve already got the QVC set.

Shieldingending · 19/11/2020 22:12

Please can anyone help me with Hotel Chocolat codes. Decided to treat myself but can't find where to put codes in!! Thanks

Limeavocado · 19/11/2020 22:19

@Shieldingending you put the codes in really near the end of the transaction, from memory the box you fill in is greyed out a bit ie not very visible but is a box just above the option to pay by PayPal etc

sorryiasked · 19/11/2020 22:20

@icanboogieboogiewoogie there are some things on etsy

Threeoleary · 19/11/2020 22:25

@thelegohooverer thanks for the Celtic & Co link. I've bought sheepskin liners for myself and DH.

thaegumathteth · 19/11/2020 22:33

This shows it with the code added but before that it's just a greyed out box that says gift voucher and when you click there's a drop down box to type in

thaegumathteth · 19/11/2020 22:35

That was for @Shieldingending

@icanboogieboogiewoogie, my dd loved Ballerina too, we saw it the Christmas it came out and she still absolutely adores it. I second the idea of going for some Nutcracker ballet-themed stuff and along with the gorgeous Story Orchestra book I would highly recommend My Design Co.'s magical music box Christmas cards.

The figures on the cards 'dance' to the music and this version plays the Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy from the ballet. Every child who visits our cottage (when the world allows) is fascinated by them (dd now gets one for birthday and Christmas every year so has a space-consuming collection).

Thank you !
ritzbiscuits · 19/11/2020 22:41

@icanboogieboogiewoogie ballet suggestions:

Tutu (Sainsbury's Tu but from Argos as delivery is much quicker)

The Story Orchestra books - We have The Nutcracker and Swan Lake - both fantastic

Sorry nothing related to that specific film.

noodledoodler · 19/11/2020 22:51

@PinkDaydreams I am still waiting on mine from last year 🤣🤣🤣 i did buy some on amazon though then realised the co op was much cheaper

CoffeeAndEnnui · 19/11/2020 22:57

If you have Star Wars fans to buy for who like a quirky tee, T-Shirt Junky's Bohemian Rhapsody Star Wars tops are down to £3.99 with free Prime delivery at AmazonShock

If you click the shop name other size options should appear.

HettyPain · 19/11/2020 23:02

Very niche idea here but if you have someone impossible to buy for who is also a Father Ted fan (ideally a stamp collector too!) you might want to think about the special edition stamps from Ireland. First day covers are available despite being sold out a while ago. www.anpost.com/Shop/Special-issue-stamps/25th-Anniversary-of-Father-Ted

applepinkierainbow · 19/11/2020 23:12

@icanboogieboogiewoogie My daughter loves the film too. We have these story books which are a big hit. Ella Bella ballet stories.
We also have the Melissa and Doug Victoria doll which was a bit larger than the Lottie for small hands.

Gilead · 19/11/2020 23:40

Added the Tis Maria to my Tesco shop, thank you!

Elphaba17 · 19/11/2020 23:57

Has anyone used Books2door before? I'm after a book set for DD and they seem to be the cheapest place with stock available at the minute.

Kittywampus · 19/11/2020 23:57

@sunshineskies I bought roller blades from decathlon, I'm not sure what size they went up to as my kids are smaller

Just got myself a fab bargain on Amazon Black friday - I have been waiting to see what the Echo Dot deals would be as I needed another dot, 2 bulbs and a smart plug. The Echo dot on it's own is reduced to £18.99 however if you look down the page you can choose your own bundle and theres a deal with the Dot plus 2 bulbs for £28.99 the pack of bulbs on their own are £24 so essentially the Echo Dot is costing me £4.99!!

Echo Dot Bundle

Graphista · 20/11/2020 00:25

@IggyAce sorry you’re in that position but what a lovely kind offer you made

I’m similar as in I’m housebound anyway and as you can tell am up at weird hours so I’m going to follow your example and say I’m more than happy to do online “hunting” for people

Not making any promises but may as well use my free time productively!

I posted on other thread then realised new thread had started I'm playing catch up!

Graphista · 20/11/2020 00:28

@pinkdaydreams I have a £10 off refer a friend code river island if you still want it?

Iggi999 · 20/11/2020 00:28

Going real life shopping tomorrow before our next lockdown begins. Will post what I find!
@IggyAce I hope the thread is big enough for two iggis, I can namechange for this if you would prefer Flowers
