Do you still send cards?

Gone are the days I wrote dozens.. I still send to distant relatives.. older ones not on sm, and a few neighbours who seem to maintain the tradition.

To me it's such a waste, other than for those there's no other way of saying Merry Christmas... which I think was the original intention 🎄

I haven’t for years, but I do send emails and message people over Christmas and to wish them a happy new year.
Nothing triggers my fear of clutter more than hearing a Christmas card landing on the doormat 🤯

I’m torn this year. It is costly because of postage but a lovely way to keep in touch with those you don’t see very often. Work is a dilemma as there’s a big staff & only really one person I don’t get on with so that gets expensive & I don’t know where to cut off giving if that makes sense. I will probably stick to the colleagues I work most closely with.

Our Scout pack does a local 'Scout Post' which is always a good fundraiser at this time of year. The Scouts get fresh air and exercise and are doing something good for their community. Obviously it's a lot cheaper for members of the public to send their Christmas cards this way as well so it is a win-win situation Smile

My Brownies are a bit young for this, the eldest are 9, most are 7. And for a long list of reasons this wouldn't be safe or practical. The supervision required puts more pressure on volunteers (95% of it me) and parents.

We raise money for other charities in other ways.

Fair enough pink I understand.

I haven't sent any for absolute years. And ones I receive mainly from work go straight in the bin when I get home.

My mum still gets out a handmade cross stitched cafe I made when I was about 12. I've recently moved house and the neighbours are lovely so if I receive any from them I will return but that's as far as it'll go.
