Stocking fillers for teens?

Dd's are aged 14 and 16, neither very girly. Dd1 says "the stocking is the best bit" and this year she won't be getting a pile of gifts as she's getting a ipad, she has one other gift to go under the tree so I want to make her stocking amazing.

So far I have got her a rainbow bath bomb, watermelon socks, a ty beanie (she has collected them for years), some pop tarts and some hair bands, fidget rings.

I need a few more bits. Any ideas? She's quite young for her age (has Aspergers), doesn't like make up, doesn't go to Costa (so no gift card), likes gaming and fluffy things.

Dd2's stocking is similar.

Fluffy cushion or hot water bottle? The long thin hot water bottles seem to be the thing this year (well amongst my friends kids anyway!)
Chenille socks
Little cactus plants or similar in funky pots (new look/paperchase/supermarkets sell them)

snowmanshoes · 27/10/2020 19:45

My dd14 requested pastel highlighters (the pens) rather than the typical neon ones ooh and post it notes always go down well with blu tac for some reason

MarshmallowManiac · 27/10/2020 19:50

Fluffy socks, chocolate orange, chocolate coins, nice colourful face masks, American sweets, ice cream shop voucher, Lush/Body Shop smellies

MarshmallowManiac · 27/10/2020 19:52

Im in my twenties now but my mum still does me a stocking haha. She fills them with bath goodies, fluffy socks, slippers, pyjamas, hair bands, a mug or some sort of glass (u can get the ones with the swirly straws, im such a child at heart haha) candles, maybe some little ornaments for her bedroom? Gloves, scarf, hat, maybe a little keepsake (frame a pic of you both?) Books, fluffy keyring, not to great at the gamer stuff sorry!

Violetparis · 27/10/2020 19:56

Dunelm have fluffy, long, thin hot water bottles in their teddy bear range, may fit into a stocking.

purpledagger · 27/10/2020 20:00

Hand sanitiser
Water bottle
Touch screen gloves
Winter hat
Sweets/chocolate hampers
Stationery
Book or magazine
Mini speaker

I shall have a look at thimb grips, didn't realise such a thing existed. Changer leads are a great idea, they get through loads and dd2 has pinched my super speed charger.

This year my DDs are in Uni.

So far I have bought fancy biscuits and their favourite chocolate.
One will have an expensive lipstick, the other a nail varnish.
Hair ties
Christmas mug
Chocolate Santa
Bath bombs
Face masks- the skin care kind
Fancy face mask - the face covering kind

gigglingHyena · 27/10/2020 20:27

LED colour changing candles were a hit last year, as were mug cake mixes (Lidl I think)

Heat holders gloves and hat are lined with really soft fleece, the only ones we found that DD can cope with wearing.

And yes to whoever suggested the tiny plants, DD loves those and has bought herself a couple.

pandafunfactory · 27/10/2020 20:33

Card holder, m & s have some with initials on
Folding shopping bag
Water bottle
Notebook
Earrings

Puffinhead · 27/10/2020 23:48

Have a look at Typo, they do good stuff for this age range - pens, notepads etc but also novelty bits and bobs. They usually have an offer on.

Puffinhead · 27/10/2020 23:52

Primark is good for cute hot water bottles too - I bought my DDs a sloth and koala one last year. They also sell the foldable shopping bags as pandafunfactory suggested (I bought them for my girls this year).

BeaLola · 28/10/2020 00:43

Lots of lovely ideas. For fluffy one of those fluffy Pom Pom key rings, teddy bear fleece, fluffy mules/slippers

jennie0412 · 28/10/2020 00:50

I'm around the same age as your daughters and personally I would be pleased with:
Pastel highlighter pens
Chocolate
As other people have said asian sweets
A mousepad with a design on (maybe from her favourite game? Such as overwatch?)
As someone else said thumb grips for controllers (I have some paw print ones from eBay and they only cost about £5?)
Led lights or fairy lights
Really fluffy blanket (I know it's not exactly a stocking filler but I have one and I love it)
Smile

This is my list for my DDs. I don’t do a selection box now as they are older and prefer a bar of good chocolate .
I always throw a handle of nuts in and an apple and satsuma ( that get put back in fruit bowl Xmas Grin

Lovemusic33 · 28/10/2020 06:40

Thank you, lots of great ideas, we went to typo a couple days ago and bought a few bits (better price than paper chase) and they both chose a decoration for the tree.

I will order some thumb protectors as dd1 games a lot. They both love hotel chocolate and the little pack of 6 chocs. Dd1 has way too many fluffy blankets and bought some slippers yesterday from tiger store (we are away shopping for a couple days in a city), its hard when she has her own money and has already bought the things she wants.

Blanket jumpers are all the rage. Absolutely wouldn't fit in a stocking. Though. (Misses the point)

HelloDulling · 28/10/2020 07:07

For my DD, the stocking is stationery, lip balm, face masks/hand cream, chocolates, fluffy socks. Mostly from TK Maxx, Tiger, Primark, Paperchase. And a bottle of Lush Snow Fairy shower gel.

HelloDulling · 28/10/2020 07:07

Oh, and a new water bottle. M&S has nice ones with initials on.

movingonup20 · 28/10/2020 07:27

Stationary goes down well I find. Stress ball things are popular with my asd dd

TW2013 · 28/10/2020 07:41

Fiddle toys
Blue tack
Post it notes
Personalised USB stick - so useful at school if they accidentally leave it in a computer. They haven't managed to lose one yet.
Peanut / almond brtitle
Pens
Notebook
Baking stuff
