Just looking for some ideas because I’m stuck with what to get my secret Santa this year!

I have never received a good one.

ConfusedAndStressed95 · 24/10/2019 15:47

A mug relating to an inside joke.

PurpleWithRed · 24/10/2019 15:48

I gave someone at work a work first aid box containing a small bottle of Prosecco, a voodoo doll, a set of highlighters with their name sellotaped on, can't remember what other junk. Went down very well.

billybagpuss · 24/10/2019 15:49

A really decent unbreakable toy for my puppy, poo bags and a pair of walking socks. Best SS present ever.

I often give decent baubles for the Christmas tree as I know they get used and often mentioned for years afterwards when they come out again for next time.

I got a body shop hand cream once, which I liked. And I gave someone nail polish, which she loved (told me she loved it without knowing I'd given it to her). Another one that went down well was a big tub of home made fudge.

One of those metal head scratcher/massager things. I regifted it to my dad and he loved it as he has dry skin and is always scratching his head.

Shodan · 24/10/2019 16:32

A pass-the-parcel style gift. Lots of small things, each wrapped in its own layer, with a funny little note for each. Just things like a few wrapped chocolates of a particular type I love, that kind of cost. Other things were specific to my sport/hobbies etc.

I loved it and actually copied the idea a few years later and it went down equally well.

LetMeLayAmongTheStars · 24/10/2019 19:34

Thank you, I love the multiple gift ideas.
I’ve never had anything that I’ve loved, I’ve had smellies which I’ve regifted so not a total waste

alcohol

Ylvamoon · 24/10/2019 19:49

United Oddsocks - you can buy a pack of 3! Or a box with funky name like Spot On / Stress Heads....

HollyBollyBooBoo · 24/10/2019 19:52

Nothing. All a pile of tat and a waste of money.

OdddSocks · 24/10/2019 19:56

I got a whip once......! Confused

CrazyCatLady13 · 24/10/2019 20:01

Lottery ticket for the draw before Christmas. Didn't win but loved the idea! Also scratchcards seem to go well.

WagtailRobin · 24/10/2019 20:17

I've never done a Secret Santa, if I ever did though I would keep it generic, £10 scratchcard!

MadameJosephine · 24/10/2019 20:21

A really lovely scarf

MrsAJ27 · 24/10/2019 20:33

Secret Santa at my old job was always jokey present...one time a guy got a pregnancy test, box of condoms and cheap aftershave from the £1 shop lol. I got a pair of stress balls that resembled testicles, another time I got wine and chocs

BlueBirdGreenFence · 24/10/2019 20:34

A beautiful scarf that's still on the go years later and a Harry Potter Christmas tree bauble.

RJnomore1 · 24/10/2019 20:37

A really good sized handbag mirror that has its own little stand. Xmas 2006 and it’s still in my handbag today.

Also 3 bottles of wine one year (3 for a tenner)

BornInAThunderstorm · 24/10/2019 20:38

Squishy slipper socks!

Weekday28 · 24/10/2019 20:38

Never had a good one. I would probably enjoy a bottle of wine

TricklBOO · 24/10/2019 20:38

A beautiful notebook and pen with a bottle of very nice wine.

Serin · 24/10/2019 20:45

A big bag of wild bird food.

clucky3 · 24/10/2019 20:49

The only good one I've ever had was a lovely bauble for the Xmas tree

Lwmommy · 24/10/2019 20:50

Slipper socks, the totes ones. I liked getting them so much, I stashed a couple of pairs from the boots after Xmas sale in the gift cupboard to use this year.

Twister! The game!
