mumsiedarlingrevolta · 17/09/2019 14:51

We have a very long list of must sees-
White Christmas
Elf
Miracle on 34th St (the original not terrible remake )
Its a Wonderful Life
Rudolph
Grinch (animated version only)
A Christmas Story
Scrooge (the one with Alastair Sim)
Love Actually
Harry Potter sometimes sneaks in
Christmas with the Kranks recently added
Ballet Shoes (DD and I always watch)
And occasional cheesy ones on Christmas Channel

SummerHouse · 17/09/2019 14:58

Netflix "Christmas Chronicles" was surprisingly good.

MrsEricBana · 17/09/2019 15:04

Elf, White Christmas, the Santa Claus...

MrsTerryPratchett · 17/09/2019 15:05

Muppet Christmas Carol
Olive the Other Reindeer

hubbabubba12 · 17/09/2019 15:33

I heard a lot of people say Christmas chronicles was good last year! I think that will be the one to watch later tonight Smile

Pauuuuuuline · 17/09/2019 15:36

Christmas vacation is my all time favourite!

SummerHouse · 17/09/2019 17:48

Click and collect (BBC comedy with Stephen Merchant) was absolutely brilliant! It's like a funny, British Jingle All the Way.

SummerHouse · 17/09/2019 17:49

Arthur Christmas. Also good family film.

Atlasta · 17/09/2019 17:55

I think around now is a good timeSmile
Santa Claus the movie here I come...

PrincessSarene · 17/09/2019 18:00

As well as good Christmas films, such as the ones listed above, I love the cheesy (usually quite rubbish but still wonderful) straight-to-TV Christmas films! I was sure I saw something about Christmas 24 starting in September but it hasn’t appeared yet... unless it was just a wishful dream...

PrincessSarene · 17/09/2019 18:01

For “proper” films, I would these suggestions:
Rise of the Guardians
Die Hard Grin

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 17/09/2019 18:27

DD and I watch "Lost Christmas" at least twice (usually August then a couple of days before Christmas)
We are slacking this year , not watched it Xmas Blush

The Movie Channel has some unmitigated shite in the Cheesy Christmas Film Dept .

Though last year I watched one about a snowbound family who give shelter to another family .
Kirsty Swanson was in it . (I will try and find the title )

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 17/09/2019 18:30

"Angels In The Snow" that was it

YouBoggleMyMind · 17/09/2019 18:33

The Holiday
Love Actually
The Polar Express
The Family Stone
Muppet's Christmas Carol
Father Christmas
The Snowman
The Snowman and The Snow Dog
The Bear

YouBoggleMyMind · 17/09/2019 18:33

Obviously Home Alone 1 & 2

YouBoggleMyMind · 17/09/2019 18:34

And Arthur Christmas 😁

EmmiJay · 17/09/2019 18:36

Love the jolly Christmas films like Jingle All the Way and Deck the Halls (?) but my Grinch side loves Enemy of the State and Long Kiss Goodnight Grin

Redshoeblueshoe · 17/09/2019 19:02

The Sony Xmas channel is now available, I'm on Virgin and it's channel 424 on there [santa]
