Can we compile a list of decent stocking fillers - no plastic tat?

So after reading the what won't you be buying this year thread it got me thinking about all the rubbish that I buy every single year, and most of it goes into the Christmas stockings.

What would you put into the stocking that isn't plastic tat, but maybe a little more expensive than the usual Poundland stuff?

My kids are all senior school age or older so I was thinking of a nice stocking with stuff that will actually be used( maybe even appreciated...)

So far I've come up with more for dds than dss,

Ethique shower bars
Chocolate truffles rather than coins
Bamboo socks
Eyeshadow pallet
Body shop camomile cleansing balm
Good quality pen

Any more ideas?

When I was in senior school my stockings became amazing because most things could fit in it! We usually put chocolates in the bottom then for younger kids a dvd and a quiet toy to keep them entertained when they inevitably wake up at 5am! Then as we got older it was things like jewellery make up and perfume just stick to things that have been asked for with stockings as they don't need loads of junk 😊

Still reading thread, so apologies if these have already been mentioned.

A couple of 'journals', which are more like prompts to create your own book. Fun enough to engage non-writers.

For girls around age 9-12ish:

'I Am A Rebel Girl: a journal to start revolutions',

(Fun, illustrated, interactive, thought-provoking.To inspire independent girls)

Girls/boys, age 10ish up:

'Wreck This Journal', by Keri Smith

(A lot of fun, rebel-style. Encourages creative thinking, non-conformity. Have given it for Xmas before, and it was absolutely loved!

Some good demos by older kids & teens on YouTube)

For little ones, pretty much any book by Hervé Tullet is great!
