Which gin?

My mum and stepdad have all they need, and don’t usually ask for much for Christmas. But they love gin. Specifically Tanqueray.

I’m not a gin drinker, but would love to treat them both to a really nice bottle, and perhaps get them something different.

I know they’ve tried other brands and have also liked Bombay Sapphire and Pinksters, but did NOT like GB gin!

Any gin connoisseurs fancy giving me a nudge in the right direction? I was looking at Isle of Harris gin, but would appreciate your suggestions!

Plus with Harris, I love the thought that my g&t is providing good employment on the island. They are doing a whisky soon.

My favourites are

Brockmans
Durham gin
Edinburgh gin liqueur, maybe the plum and vanilla one

Oh and

Elephant gin

Hendricks gin is my all time favourite. I love it with cucumber and fever tree elderflower toni with lots of ice. Unfortunately I’ll be giving my Christmas tipple a miss this year as I’ll be 34 weeks pregnant 😅

That's interesting Style. I was loitering by the feverfew tasting stall in John Lewis yesterday and they were recommending elderflower tonic with Hendricks. I'll definitely give it a go!

I've tended to stick to plain tonic so the taste is all about the gin rather than the mixer but sounds like I'm not being adventurous enough!

Am currently trying to decide which gins to put on my Xmas list so thanks to the op for starting this thread!

amazon have some guns on offer at the moment. I bought Edinburgh Gin for £21.99 but think they also have Gin Mare and Silent Pool for about £30

Cotswolds Distillery gin is fab. I have always liked a good G&T but this was a game changer. Definitely my go-to gin for people who like (and know) their gins!

Ha ha! Didn't realise I've already posted on here! I sound like a proper lush now!! Blush
