I want to buy a book but not something they probably already have-Julia Donaldson etc

Can anyone recommends something a bit different?! It’s for a boy but not a particularly boy-ish boy if that makes a difference?!

My four all completely loved the Frog and Toad books by Arnold Lobel - they were written in the Seventies but have stood the test of time beautifully. Quirky, funny and lovely.

The Rabbit, the Dark and the Biscuit Tin was published in September so they're unlikely to have it. It is lovely - particularly the bit where you open the biscuit tin by lifting the flap!
