Am totally stumped this year.

He doesn’t want clothes, or books, doesn’t drink, already has a coffee machine, and is on a diet so doesn’t want treat food.

He does like:

  • films. Usually marvel and action films. But doesn’t want any DVDs and rarely has time for a cinema trip. Already has a popcorn maker.
  • massages but he gets these once a month anyway.
  • meals out with friends but we’ll do that as his birthday party, so it’s not really a gift.

Otherwise he just likes simple things (park with our children, lunch with friends, having a nap!) so can’t think of any gifts to go with those.

Any ideas? Please? Budget up to £150.

National Trust membership?

A hamper of healthy treats like veg crisps, beef jerky, pure cocoa powder or a subscription to Audible if he doesn't want actual books..Also I heard of an app for running/walking that tells an amazing adventure story based on your route. Sorry can't remember the name. Perhaps someone here knows of.it?

Have you looked at Marvel graphic novels? There are loads of different ones on Amazon. "The infinity gauntlet" and "Marvel 1602" are supposed to be good.

mumtoboys · 20/11/2018 13:05

Oops just saw no books.

Lovely photo in a nice frame - pic of you all enjoying the beach/park/having a meal etc. Make some kind of "film" (technotwit here) of you and the DC (the ones that can talk) saying nice things about him/how much you have enjoyed this year. You could have favourite music of his in the background. The baby could be recorded making babbling noises, smiling at the camera etc. with an, 'I love Daddy' notice prominently displayed.

My DH has asked for a Haynes V8 engine kit - it's £40 on Amazon or Smyths
Reviews aren't amazing but at least he's actually mentioned "something" as otherwise he'd be getting the usual pants/socks/jumper bundle (maybe this has encouraged him...)

My dh has recently got ‘into’ shaving. He prefers shaving creme to soap so I bought him an aloe one from the body shop which he said is nice. I’ve bought my dad a set with the shaving creme and shaving brush from body shop for about £15 for Christmas (although I got mine very cheap in the sale then extra 30% off thanks to fellow
