Catlady you're actually a lot better off going into store. I had the same issue, but went in to find full shelves and no customers Grin happily filled my basket.

I just got all 7 Harry Potter books for under £20, delivered, from World of Books, using WORLDOFBOOKS10 to get 10% off. Worth a look if you have specific books to buy.

I'm setting up a bookcase for DD as I can tell she's going to be an enthusiastic reader soon enough!

Reserved. Com. Someone upthread recommended them. I had a look and picked out a few bits to purchase. Tried it once and it said there was a problem authorising the payment. Tried again and got the same message. Called my bank who said that both(!) payments have been authorised and are now pending. Tried to call reserved but their customer service is only open Mon-Fri 8am to 3pm, which is not much use when you work in a school. I've messaged them and hope they can sort this our, but , despite some nice looking things on the website, I won't bother with them again.

Emailed the seller of the pop up pirate. They have said that Amazon amended the listing and it was wrong, Amazon had told the seller not to send the product and they assumed Amazon had fixed the issue and corrected everything for me. They're sending a refund apparently.

I had the same email... apparently they never sent it, even though it said it was dispatched. Hmm Sounds like they were trying to make a quick buck and hope that people would forget about their order.

Ugh. That seller sounds like a right chancer! You can't blame amazon for your listings, the seller is 100% responsible for sorting their own shit out, and amazon screen every product uploaded which flags up any issues Hmm so it's pretty suspect.

As an amazon seller myself, I can't see this happening for legitimate reasons. And even if they had, you'd certainly message all buyers immediately to let them know what was going on!

Trying to put a bit of money away each month for Christmas and pick up bits too. Being on maternity leave and coming to the end of being paid I’m having to be a bit more savvy and a lot more organized than normal!
