‘I have finished my Christmas shopping, I do not need to buy anymore, the dd’s will be happy with what I have bought and they don’t need any more’. This is what I need to keep telling myself

But I feel sad that I have nothing left to wrap, I have paper left over, then I worry that one child has more to open than the other or I see something they would love.

Anyone else trying hard not to twitch?

I need to go a week without spending. All I need to buy is Christmas food next Saturday, I need to stay strong. Yesterday I twitched and bought dd1 one more present.

I twitched for DS (3). He's been going on about a Batcave for ages, but I thought he meant the Imaginext one at the inlaws' house.

He's asked 2 Santas for one and been disappointed, and it turns out that it's a Duplo one that he's seen on YouTube

As it's the only thing he's genuinely asked for himself (he's copied his older sister up to now) I couldn't not get it as I think it would've broken his heart that Santa hadn't listened to him, and he's too young for that harsh lesson! So, twitch, twitch! (All for a good cause though.)

I was done and then my youngest kept writing letters to various santas and each time asked for a my little pony castle. We had been avoiding it as it was £80, and previous experience of MLP castles is they tend to be flimsy. But she seemed so sure Santa would bring it, and I found it reduced to £32. Of course this then meant I had to buy gifts for my other 2 for the same approx value so they were still all equal. So almost £100 worth of twitching.

Twitching massively today as it's last day I will be shopping without the kids but had Grinchy DH with me reigning me in!

See,this is exactly why I've left my shopping late this year. Last year I had it all done and wrapped early and ended up twitching spectacularly!

This year I've still got loads to buy, so hopefully no temptation to twitch.

After being pretty good this year, and avoiding lots of plastic crap I previously would have got for my dds, I online twitched at the weekend.

I knew a twitch was coming, luckily it was not too expensive and somewhat sensible (ho ho) so it is out of my system now phew.

If I buy anymore I will loose the slightly smug idea that I have not gone ott this year but wisely chosen thoughtful but yet totally amazing gifts

Less organised this year also, I've got a couple of actual main gifts to buy. Nothing expensive, but a mission to hopefully keep me focused.
But
I twitched today in tk maxx, oh it's so easy in that place.

We still have a bit of actual shopping to do for others. Will not twitch on the DCs though. I resisted when in town yesterday

I've just bought 2 x tkts for Michael McIntyre, will Christmas just hurry up & come now!!

I caved and bought a DVD from Amazon as I was ordering something else non-christmas related and just snuck it in. But other than that I am doing VERY well!

Today’s twitching cost me £70, last time going to town so I won’t be buying anything else, got dd a dressing gown and a few MLP bits in TKmax.

Not really a twitch but I picked up a few games to go with the ps4. Also a Haynes train manual, a train spotter gift set and a classic trains mug for ds(10) stocking.

I need to get some cash out for DS present (as in actual 'notes' he prefers cash to presents because he saves it)

I'll get DD some Lush bathbombs and I have to wrap a couple of her presents ( 2 tops which she chose and a Twitchy neckchain)

I might drag DS out shopping on Friday, he will protest and wail but I'll try.

I'm desperate to twitch...dh won't let me

Though it helps my bank account is currently on lock down due to overspending and won't be unlocked until Friday . Two whole weeks without money..

OH is going on a massive Twitch tomorrow in his car, and I am riding shotgun.

All our DC are teenagers and young adults so it is utterly ridiculous. Someone could write a PhD on this phenomenon.

I've just twitched and I've been so good this year. Although it is one of the things I'm bow most excited about giving!! Dd just got told today she needs glasses and is very excited. Impact is bringing a build a bear for her which I was already about to pop with excitement over as she will love it. Just ordered a set of pink glasses!! Although I paid 3.99 for postage I'm not even annoyed just excited!!

Santa not impact.... Not even sure how that's possible!! Got too carried away in my excitement 😳

I end up twitching on dh for some reason - every blummin year! DS is fine, def needs nothing else, but dh always needs something or I like to buy him stuff as he does look after us!
Also it's our wedding anniversary in Jan, not something we normally bother with, but it's 10yrs, so I should do something for that, right?!?!!!!

Argh. I just twitched! Just bought a few MORE bits for DS's stocking from the menkind website. Because of course he needs a Rick and Morty pint glass, amongst other things .

Grrr just twitched and bought DS some Calvin Klein boxers and my mum a new kindle case. I had been determined to just get DS a couple of things beside his new iPad but his pile looked so tiny compared to last year.

Only person I have nothing for is DSS. I know he would prefer money but I hate giving cash as a gift. It seems so impersonal.

Could you get him a savings tin or a wallet and put the cash in it? Or even one of those puzzle things you can hide money in?

I to have just purchased the dog a little elf outfit for Christmas Day so she doesn't feel left out when all of the other family doggos are wearing costumes.
