If your DH gave you a £200 budget what would you want for Xmas?

Since the kids came along DH and I spend £40-£50 on each other for Xmas but this year his business has done very well and he says that I deserve more than that (hurrah!) and has said to give him ideas of presents total value £200. the problem is I have everything I want materially, I struggle to find £50 worth of stuff usually.

So I thought -
Pandora Charm - £30ish
Perfume - £12 (my favourite is Just Pink by next, I think it’s nicer than any designer perfume)

After that I’m stuck. Help inspire me!

A Swarovski watch

I have the same budget. DP hates shopping for presents. The ideas I have given him are:
Gin advent calendar (£60, Morrisons)
New Disney Cath Kidston bag (£60)
New Giovanna Fletcher book (£10ish)
New Killers album (£10ish)
Coco Mademoiselle (£60/£80ish)
Crackling Wood Fire Yankee Candle (£20ish)

Amazon echo/google home and a smart home system so I can tell Alexa/google to turn the lights on etc

Horse riding lessons. It’s about 60 quid an hour where I live so 200 would get me far but I loved riding when I could afford it and miss it so much!

GPS running watch - £150
Nice baselayer top.- £40

Or I'd be tempted to ask for a spa day for the two of us.

If you have everything materially, why not to try experience gifts? It's a very popular type in this case, you can easily buy a certificate under 200£ and there's so many of them, in my opinion it's one of the most interesting types of gifts Smile For example, I got from my husband certificates for Chinese tea ceremony and cool spa-procedures, I liked them so much! And they provide such events for almost everything, including excursions, flying on planes etc. www.virginexperiencedays.co.uk/christmas-gifts?sortorder=pricehighlow&maxPrice=150, in my opinion it's also a cool thing when you have no ideas in case of gifts for certain people too Smile
Also I can share with my wishlist for this year... It's almost the same as usually, I adore to get books for gifts, good cosmetics and perfumes, CDs with music of my fav bands, cool clothes and accessories, tickets for concerts and musicals, various art stuff and wooden models www.kickstarter.com/projects/1469570445/wood-trick-0 for my collection, also good and expensive coffee or tea and jewerly.
Hope that this was helpful! Smile

Hi,

Something my friend really loved was having her "colours" identified. Basically matching different shades with your skin tone so you know what clothes to buy in future.

Another one would be a make up lesson, one of those things that never really reach the top of my list but having a tutorial for a nice fresh daytime look and buying a few key pieces of make up would really make a difference in how I feel day to day!

:-)

Chic sunglasses and decent bag or purse.

FoofFighter · 21/11/2017 16:30

I'd be buying some of those Welligogs country boots.

Fragglewump · 21/11/2017 16:52

I’m now doing Christmas shopping ideas for Dh on my amazon wish list. Smile

A Smythson diary or a pair of Liberty pyjamas

Blackandpurple · 21/11/2017 17:36

A down coat as one present.
Or
Clinique face stuff, handmade necklace from a local jeweller.

whyareusernamessodifficult · 21/11/2017 17:43

A Bloom & Wild subscription.
You get a different bouquet of fresh flowers through your mailbox every month.
It’s £60 for 3 month or £110 for 6 months.

Either that or I agree with other posters that a good coat or pair of boots are well worth the money as they’ll last ages and make you feel great.

I've been thinking about this and came up with Penhaligons perfume I adore them

Fragglewump · 21/11/2017 18:28

Silver clay jewellery classes or a willow weaving course.

I have a general rule of nothing that needs to be dusted as presents. Since I got an iPad, I have become a bit fan of kindle/audible books, so would ask to have it put on my account to spend throughout the year. I would probably remember to say thank you each time i picked and/or read/listened.

I think DH would like to be thanked at random moments throughout the year.
