I give to 2 friends and we try and buy each other something that feels like a real treat, that we wouldn’t normally buy for ourselves. Budget is around £20. Last year I had lovely body oil from one of them. From the other a gorgeous leather notebook.
I was pondering on some lovely socks? Anyone recommend any?
Or any other ideas?
TIA Smile

Stuff from Lush,

IWishYouWere · 16/11/2017 11:11

Ooh this sounds like a great idea. I love the sock idea I've got my eye on these merino and cashmere socks 2 for £29. I'd probably add in one of these hot cloth cleansers there meant to be really good and there £5.99 each but on bogof then you've got £3 each left to spend on them I'd probably go for Lindt chocolate.

pinkingshears · 16/11/2017 11:13

Old fashioned but...
Some really beautiful artisan soaps. Herbal/botanical.
Smell amazing. Great to put in drawers of lingerie or use in ensuites etc. and last forever.
Or an Aeropress/coffee grinder.
Or an arrangement to meet up for a poke around a good vintage /charity shop with hot chocolate and cake afterwards.

crochetmonkey74 · 16/11/2017 11:46

I wold love a Coffee shop card preloaded, maybe with some nice chocs to take with me.
Or a magazine subscription (you can sometimes get deals for £20)
I like L'Occitane stuff too but never buy it for myself.

LaceandChintz · 16/11/2017 16:45

iwishyouwere I’m going to check out your sock recommendation Grin

For me I would love either

tea pigs chocolate flake tea and a new cup from Disney store 😀

Or a kindle voucher/lovely case for my kindle - mine is practical I'd love a harry potter or one with a photo of my girls on.

Warm fluffy socks and a super soft hot water bottle cover

Nice thick blanket to curl up on the sofa with.

Paperchase diary and pretty pen (again mine is a cheapo card factory one unless I get gifted a pretty one!)

New character tshirt from qwertee or similar 😁

Chocolatecake12 · 16/11/2017 18:54

Gloves from powder
Moulton brown products
Lovely earrings

Strawberryfield12 · 16/11/2017 19:08

Byredo hand cream, Molton Brown absolute rose, something from The White company.

ReggaetonLente · 16/11/2017 19:11

The L'Occitane almond shower oil. Or a voucher for gel colour on my hands - £20 in my local nail bar.

user1469751309 · 16/11/2017 19:12

I would love a mini bottle of prosecco the one that hold about a glass a lovely bath bomb from lush and some soap and glory body lotion.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 16/11/2017 19:12

I second the Aveda Hand Relief rec - it's wonderful stuff.

Waterstones voucher = one of the best gifts ever. Or a Daunt Books voucher, if they are in/near or go regularly to London.

Silver earrings

Yes to Moleskine notebooks, especially if it came with a pen to match the colour of the notebook! I'd love a brown one, with a pen with brown ink, for example.

One pair of really lovely knickers and a nail varnish in the same colour.

A bottle of nice olive oil and another of lovely balsamic vinegar

Something/s from the Literary Gift Company

I love nice socks too!

A good lipstick (obviously only works if they wear lipstick and you know what colours to go for though...)

Fancy shower gel. I like them to have a really thick consistency.

A coffee table book - the Sunday Times often have them in the Culture section at this time of year - I've previously been given Lists of Note and Jump (photography), which I loved.

FlowerPotMum · 16/11/2017 22:07

Cashmere socks.
A new kindle case
An moleskin notebook
A coffee voucher
Aeropress
Posh chocs
A salon voucher

catlover1987 · 16/11/2017 22:15

Mine would be a Mac lipstick, Molton brown shower gel, cowshed body lotion, Liz Earle cleanse and polish, lush bath bombs, hotel chocolat chocolates. I’d be delighted with any of those.

singadream · 16/11/2017 22:58

It's a bit more expensive than that but I would like the molten brown pomander.

mrssmiling · 16/11/2017 23:26

An Emma Bridgewater mug - something expensive you wouldn't buy for yourself, but would enjoy using every day. So many lovely designs...flowers, animals, cities etc..
