Crazy Christmas requests?

Anyone''s children come up with any corkers this year?
My 6yo is adamant that all she wants is "a proper wheelchair with a real seat belt that can go outside and you can sit in and push".
Pretty sure Father Christmas isn't going to be delivering that one!
Previously, my other child asked for a table and a ring binder with handwriting sheets...
Rock and roll!
Surely I can't be the only one getting these left-field requests?

elQuintoConyo · 14/11/2017 20:51

My 6yo wants a plumber. His exact words were 'a man who works with tubes', so i presumed plumber not gynaecologist.

We have already got his presents and as he was wriying his list i was saying things like, 'wouldn't it be cool to have a world map so you can see where Aunty X and Uncle Y live?' and he was most enthusiastic so wrote it on his list Grin

JetCityWoman · 14/11/2017 20:53

mummymi regular small one and if you're handy with a needle and thread DIY a cover from a barbie pillowcase.

SequinsOnEverything · 14/11/2017 21:00

sittin is your child planning on being the next batman? Maybe they know a bat cave is unrealistic, but a shed is a good start?

Bluelonerose · 14/11/2017 21:01

goose1964 · 14/11/2017 21:01

My in-laws, would you like a capon?

HighwayDragon1 · 14/11/2017 21:04

In the last few years we've had - a bed, chopsticks, and a school bookbag on the lists...

ThomasRichard · 14/11/2017 21:05

5yo DD wants everything from every advert she’s ever seen. She has also requested that I write to her teacher to say that she would like to be either Mary or the baby Jesus in the school nativity play Hmm

Not Christmas but when my DS was a toddler he asked for a golden diplodocus - I tried and tried, the day before his birthday he changed his mind and only wanted "yellow presents" Hmm

Myneighboursnorlax · 14/11/2017 21:34

I'm 28 now and my mum still likes to tell everyone about the time I asked for a tin of pilchards for Christmas when I was 4!

MonaChopsis · 14/11/2017 21:34

@JetCityWoman thank you, what a good idea!!!

dontquotemeondailymail · 14/11/2017 21:38

My niece once asked for a lanyard for Christmas - it was the only thing she wanted! Think she was about 8 or 9 at the time!

BrieAndChilli · 14/11/2017 21:41

The only thing DS (ages 9 at the time ) wanted last year was a book called ‘Transit maps of the world’! It is literally a book that contains maps of all the tube and city transport maps of major cities!

AmethystMoon · 14/11/2017 21:42

My 5yo Dd wants a leaf blower......try as I might to explain they aren't toys....it's falling on deaf, and I fear soon to be disappointed ears Grin

hiyasminitsme · 14/11/2017 21:42

My five year old son wants a £200+ lego set for over 16's with a working motor. A specific set.
he's not going to get it

MrsHathaway · 14/11/2017 21:54

Then-5 laboriously wrote red sizers (scissors) on his list. A little digging revealed that they must be red because green and yellow are for left-handers.

Still every time he uses them he reminds us that these are the scissors he had for Christmas.
