Wrapping presents

Random question but do you wrap your Santa presents to your dc?

DH and I never had our presents wrapped they were just sitting out on Christmas morning. But I always see in films and tv shows the presents are always wrapped.

I love wrapping, and each year I have a theme and if I say so myself, my wrapping is almost a work of art just as well cos I'm useless at choosing gifts
Santa's elves on the other hand are a very slapdash bunch. Their wrapping is sloppy but they do use unusual wrapping paper uniquely suited to each recipient.

Ds is only going to be 1 this Christmas so it won't make any difference this year but I think in future years I'll do as the majority and wrap Santa presents but not stockings.

I'm genuinely shit at 'Father Christmas' how I have two children who still believe is beyond me.

As I said in my previous post everything is wrapped apart from stockings and the odd need to be put together presents.

Father Christmas is a glorified delivery service and we send him the money and/or presents from us. We have a 'magic' cupboard that the elves have a door on their side for them to get the presents - that came from me forgetting I had put some presents in a cupboard and our DD's seeing them.

We also send Father Christmas wrapping paper - this comes from buying wrapping paper with the DC and my youngest pointing out that Father Christmas had the same wrapping paper that I had bought.

Last year we forgot to put the mince pie etc out, luckily I remembered as I was going to bed.

I'm sure there's lots more but that is all off the top of my head. I won't even start about the 'birthday fairy' (eldest DD's birthday is the 28th December).

We wrap everything apart from the satsuma in the stocking! Santa only brings stocking presents and everything around the tree is from us/other family and wrapped of course! My husband's family used to say santa delivers everything and it appeared on Christmas Eve but we our presents around the tree as we are given them. My children will be 4 and 2 this year so will put them down very gradually to make sure they don't open them...

I try to get the paper wrapped satsumas at the greengrocers (special visit) Blush They feel really festive to me.

I wrap all the stocking presents (different paper for each) and their main presents. It's a faff....

Always wrapped, but not wrapped on their own. Presents get wrapped in lumps top make them harder to guess

In our house Father Christmas only brings the stocking presents, which are not wrapped

All the rest of the presents are wrapped and are from us / relatives.

We don't play up Father Christmas, though we do take our son to see him, so he's happy to accept that it is little stocking presents only.
