Arthur cheistmas also reduced to 1.01 for the DVD on amazon

margaritasbythesea · 19/08/2017 19:51

I saw Playmobil remote control pirate ship in John LEwis Oxford street yesterday for 35 pounds. It is not on the website though.

Reastie · 19/08/2017 20:12

Banana what sort of price was the l'occataine calendar? I might need one for myself.

Has anyone ever been to the bicester discount shopping village? Is it any good? We are holidaying near there and wondering whether to take a trip.

scrappydappydoo · 19/08/2017 20:20

Thank you for descendants dolls and dvd - both are on dd's Xmas list which she has already handed to me Hmm

JaquelineHyde · 19/08/2017 20:45

Hello one and all!

I have returned ready for the Christmas shopping to begin. I have been missing in action for the last couple of years as I've been living on the Shetland Isles so missed all the in store bargains and any retailers that wouldn't post to us ☹️ But we are back living in England and I am ready to go.

Let the Christmas bargains commence 🎄🎄🎄

SheStoodInTheStorm · 19/08/2017 20:50

Yay! Found you all!

To the poster with the kittens game - it was FallenAngel who first asked.

Also after Moana things. Saw the necklace randomly on a shelf when I dashed into Tesco earlier and kicking myself for not getting it.

Been into a couple of Tesco stores and not managed any of the bargains. Need to go to Sainsbury's and Asda too now apparently! Hard to go without DD!

Origins have an anti-ageing set worth £38 for free when you buy two products. Cheapest are £5 face masks. Or I bought 2 things from the anti blemish range which got me a free travel sized glow set and the anti-ageing set plus the usual samples!

debbiewest0 · 19/08/2017 20:57

If anyone up thread was looking when I mentioned the Lego juniors 10727 Emma's ice cream truck it's back on its lowest price today at 13.99. - on Amazon - I said I would post if I spotted it again so I got mine today and it looks a lovely set. 🙂

NoCapes · 19/08/2017 21:04

I pop in occasionally here just to read, but just wanted to share a bargain I got today in Tesco -
A pack of 30 Sharpies down from £22 to £8
There were a few sets of smaller Sharpies all with huge discounts too

ZIGGY911 · 19/08/2017 21:54

My Lisa Angel scarf arrived, it's beautiful, I'm off to search for the link to order more. X

paddlenorapaddle · 19/08/2017 23:10

festivestudio.co.uk/treat-pack-christmas-eve-box/. 1/2 price Christmas Eve box

NeitherNowtNorSummat01 · 19/08/2017 23:31

Reastie- I've been to Bicester a few times. If you're in to named/ designer things you can get some good bargains. My favourite is the Emma Bridgewater outlet.
Some things are discounted but still really expensive.

LexieLulu · 19/08/2017 23:39

I live near Cheshire oaks (bicesters sister), they're have recently got a catch kidston with amazing discounts.

We've bought presents for MIL from radley there, body shop is at the 40% sale that seems to happen every other month online anyway...

There is also a Yankee that I used to buy gifts from, but Yankee is cheaper in Asda at the mo (£6 for a medium size, down from £9).

There are loads of places to buy posh purses/bags/clothes but I don't really spend that much at Christmas on others x

christmasunicorn · 19/08/2017 23:56

Can't comment on bichester or Cheshire oaks but I've been to the outlet in Ashford and you can pick up some great buys but not as designer as the other two. Cath Kidston is meant to be opening very soon and I can't wait!
I'd love to go to bichester/Cheshire oaks just for the Coach outlet store

Reastie · 20/08/2017 07:23

Hmm, thanks, might be worth a trip for a quick look but I'm not really bothered about designer gear but Emma bridgWater outlet sounds good for potential Christmas gifts. I once went to a mulberry discount shop but the prices were still ridiculously high even discounted!

GinAndSonic · 20/08/2017 09:11

I got the moana necklace in tesco for DD September birthday, shes going to be super happy.

Just getting ready for a day at my parents but I'll be back in a while to have a trawl through the last few pages.

Apologies if it's been posted already, but Studio have a mud kitchen reduced from £199.99 to £59.99 plus an additional £10 saving with code 073.

I know you can make your own easily with pallets, but I've been saying that for 2 years and the pallets are still lying by the side of the shed with things growing on them so I've accepted that it's not going to happen in this household.

PosyBoo · 20/08/2017 12:35

Thanks for the mud kitchen posts!! Looks amazing!

Just wondering if any experienced parents out there can advise if I'd be better off getting my soon to be 4 year old DD a mud kitchen or a regular play kitchen? I feel having both would be a bit excessive (not to mention expensive) but not sure which she'd enjoy/get more use out of? Confused

SheStoodInTheStorm · 20/08/2017 12:40

Depends if you have room for both?

Mud kitchen is obviously for outside with a focus on sensory play, mixing mud and water and grass etc. Plus role playing. My DD loved her indoor kitchen and we've had many meals made there! But I know she'd love a mud kitchen too.

nocutsnobuttsnococonuts · 20/08/2017 12:49

posyboo I think it would depend on your dd. if she's happy to be out rain or shine in the mud then go for the mud kitchen. otherwise the regular kitchen will get more use as u can use all year round. i never had either (lived in a flat for the preschool years) we had a small one from elc that opens up and lives under the bed which was v well loved. at the nursery I work at the actual mud kitchen isn't used as much but a raised table with pots and pans, spoons etc are used daily to create all manner of mess 😂😂 so maybe you could do a smaller one of each as they do get different experiences from them both 😀

Soslowmo · 20/08/2017 12:54

My dc have the ikea kitchen. It's kept inside, but I just cleared a load of mud, sand and washing up liquid potions off it this morning...!

SimplyNigella · 20/08/2017 12:56

I agree with everyone else, if your DD loves being outside in all weathers and making a mess then the mud kitchen is a good idea. I will confess that DS has an indoor kitchen already but I know that he will get a lot of use from both.

PosyBoo · 20/08/2017 12:59

Thanks for the advice Storm and Coconuts. I think you're right, they both offer different things, I hadn't thought of it that way. She is a real outdoor girl and loves getting muddy but I love the idea of making a mini version of each. Smile

PosyBoo · 20/08/2017 13:05

Thanks Slow and Nigella, maybe having both isn't such a crazy idea then. Grin

christmasunicorn · 20/08/2017 13:43

In Tesco today they had stationary filled cups for £8 which looked like a really good stocking gift for a teen. I would've got one for mine but she was there with me. They had two types with different stationary in, I tried to get a pic of contents list.
No moana necklaces but I did pick up the moana busy book and a cars 3 one. The 2 for £9 offered ended on the 16th but as someone forgot to remove the label they honoured the offer for me but otherwise they are back to £6 each
