My online shop can be amended unto mid morning today and I've just amended it (again!). I just find it incredibly hard to estimate how much people will eat!. Please reassure me I am not alone Xmas Smile

And I went to sainsburys yesterday and couldn't stop myself grabbing stuff off the shelves. It's like a disease!

About half a dozen but as it gets closer I can see what normal stuff is running out so more to add today including teabags and nappies.

At least 10. And it's due tomorrow so 11:45pm last night was the cut off and this morning I've remembered a load of things I forgot.... Xmas Sad

I've got until tonight to amend mine and I remembered something lying in bed last night that needed to be added on... can I remember this morning what it is? Can I bugger!

I think my strategy is better...

Wake up Christmas eve half an hour before aldi opens and queue.. All my shopping done in 45 minutes

Never fails - I would be exhausted thinking about it and have all the treats ate any other way ! Grin

Loads here too, but Ocado put a stop to my shenanigans last night and cut me off from further changes at midnight, 😂

And I've just remembered I need more mustard. Best amend it again.

Just twice. I originally put just one very expensive bottle in. Then when I had more time I edited to remove that and add the stuff I actually want. Then at the beginning of the month I rechecked and made some slight changes. Since then I have added a couple of items with one click - so not having to edit properly and re-check out. I know it can be a bit risky sometimes editing this close - with things going out of stock again, whereas if in your basket earlier and not edited apparently your more Likely to keep them.

Yikes. So glad to have caught this thread as I haven't done my order and it's coming tomorrow.

I think I've got one pack of toilet rolls to secure the slot.

Approximately 5645. Give or take.
I've added stuff, taken stuff out, put it back in. No doubt I'll have forgotten something but it's just the three of us this year. Mildly panicked that I've never ordered my turkey online before? What if the don't send me one? It's coming Christmas Eve!

Report
happychristmasbum · 21/12/2016 17:04

Slightly more than buttercup Xmas Grin Don't worry, you need to be all zen about the turkey and decide "It Will Come"

I had one came today, and another coming 27th. The bloke today seemed to be hovering for a tip Blush Do I tip? I only have grocery deliveries at Christmas so I wouldn't be tipping them for their service throughout the year IYSWIM?

About 30. I was fine and done, then DH started having opinions about stuff. Bastard!

Too many to keep count of! 😂

It's coming on Friday but I think it's done now. I think!

Too many to count! My cut off was last night and so I now have a small list of things to pick up.

Ocado were out of stock of mince pies by the time I remembered to add some!

I haven't amended mine at all yet. reserved it for Friday with 2 bottles of champagne in my basket and that's all.

I'll probably forget to amend it and that will be it. Champagne.

None. My 2 items were delivered at 1pm today..... I thought it was due tomorrow and was going to amend it this evening Xmas Biscuit

JudithTaverner - many of the supermarkets have slightly different timings for updating on Christmas orders. So, my shop is coming on Friday night and I have to have finalised my order by 11:30 tonight. Normally it would be tomorrow evening.

Report
JudithTaverner · 21/12/2016 20:58

Oh God I'd better check. Or all we'll be having is champagne and cornflakes on Christmas day.

Report
JudithTaverner · 21/12/2016 21:00

It says I can do it until 11pm the night before (Sainsbury's). That's ok isn't it for a Friday delivery?

I haven't even begun to think about what we're eating yet.

Report
AdoraBell · 21/12/2016 21:04

Oh, loads.

I placed an order weeks ago to get the delivery slot. Every time I think of something else I amend the order. Then was the change of plans, now neither going away for 3 days nor having visitors for 4 days after our now cancelled trip.

It's due tomorrow so I have until 11pm tonight to make some more changes Xmas Grin

Loads of times. Getting ridiculous anxiety now as the cut off for additions is tonight, being delivered Friday. I can't need anymore food, we've got loads coming but I've got the feeling I've forgotten life's essentialsXmas Hmm

I'm working so won't even be here for Christmas dinner so I shouldn't really care if anything is forgotten.

Tons, and then I got bored with it and it came this evening, loads of stuff I still need, have a Booths order coming on Friday but will need to get myself down to Waitrose on Friday with a fairly hefty list. Don't know why I bothered with an online order tbh, one of the lads that knows me from the store had been drafted in for deliveries and brought my order so just told me to come and find him on Friday and he'd sort all my stuff out.

Personal service like that must mean I either spend too much time in the 'trose or he has a small crush.

It's probably the former sadly.

TheRadiantAerynSun · 21/12/2016 21:10

Twice, will probably go for one more before it's delivered on Friday.

I'm careful not to do what I did a few years ago which was book it early; fill the basket with random stuff to get over the min order quantity and then forget about about it.

Getting 50 tins of cat food delivered a couple of days before xmas was a bit of a surprise.
