My online shop can be amended unto mid morning today and I've just amended it (again!). I just find it incredibly hard to estimate how much people will eat!. Please reassure me I am not alone Xmas Smile

I change my delivery about 10 times on a normal delivery! Changed about 5 times last night. All arrived at 7.30 this morning on time and no substitutions! However will
Probably still wander to local shops as will be something I need!

Mine arrived yesterday. One substitution - our 'alternative ' dessert option for those who don't like Christmas pudding. Substitution very acceptable, so no issues there. One item not available, but dh was able to meander to the local greengrocer and buy it there. So, Christmas is officially 'here's, some food preparation tomorrow then just bung it all in cooker on Sunday.

Hope everybody's orders arrive on time and complete.

Only about 4-5 times. Xmas Blush lol I keep taking away and then adding to it. Still not sure I have ordered enough. Hope it all arrives, it's due Friday!

Oh so many times I couldn't even count. It's mad isn't it - the shops are only shut for one day!

I've had to cancel mine and go to the shops 😭 It was due on the evening of the 23rd but we've got 90mph winds forecast! Tesco's delivery vans will not be out in that!

Leaning Shock . Poor you. Hope you're able to get what you need somehow.

I must have adjusted my order 20 times last night alone! I've been amending it virtually daily. Each day I've concentrated on one day or one category - so, Christmas Day food on one day, 'treats'on another day, household goods another and so on. It's due tomorrow and I can adjust until 11.46pm tonight, but I don't usually make any alterations after about 10pm.
I've never had problems with my Christmas delivery - usually all present and veg etc very fresh. DH is on standby to go shopping though, in case anything is missing.

Too many times! Planned to do one final check and amend this evening. Instead I'm in hospital. Anything missing will have to hit the shops Friday!

Oh. I haven't. I booked and haven't actually done it yet. Deadline is tomorrow night. Our plans are at threat from illnesses so I'm waiting to see what happens...

Twice, will probably go for one more before it's delivered on Friday.

I'm careful not to do what I did a few years ago which was book it early; fill the basket with random stuff to get over the min order quantity and then forget about about it.

Getting 50 tins of cat food delivered a couple of days before xmas was a bit of a surprise.

Tons, and then I got bored with it and it came this evening, loads of stuff I still need, have a Booths order coming on Friday but will need to get myself down to Waitrose on Friday with a fairly hefty list. Don't know why I bothered with an online order tbh, one of the lads that knows me from the store had been drafted in for deliveries and brought my order so just told me to come and find him on Friday and he'd sort all my stuff out.

Personal service like that must mean I either spend too much time in the 'trose or he has a small crush.

It's probably the former sadly.

Loads of times. Getting ridiculous anxiety now as the cut off for additions is tonight, being delivered Friday. I can't need anymore food, we've got loads coming but I've got the feeling I've forgotten life's essentialsXmas Hmm

I'm working so won't even be here for Christmas dinner so I shouldn't really care if anything is forgotten.

Oh, loads.

I placed an order weeks ago to get the delivery slot. Every time I think of something else I amend the order. Then was the change of plans, now neither going away for 3 days nor having visitors for 4 days after our now cancelled trip.

It's due tomorrow so I have until 11pm tonight to make some more changes Xmas Grin

It says I can do it until 11pm the night before (Sainsbury's). That's ok isn't it for a Friday delivery?

I haven't even begun to think about what we're eating yet.

JudithTaverner · 21/12/2016 20:58

Oh God I'd better check. Or all we'll be having is champagne and cornflakes on Christmas day.

Hulababy · 21/12/2016 20:33

JudithTaverner - many of the supermarkets have slightly different timings for updating on Christmas orders. So, my shop is coming on Friday night and I have to have finalised my order by 11:30 tonight. Normally it would be tomorrow evening.

None. My 2 items were delivered at 1pm today..... I thought it was due tomorrow and was going to amend it this evening Xmas Biscuit

I haven't amended mine at all yet. reserved it for Friday with 2 bottles of champagne in my basket and that's all.

I'll probably forget to amend it and that will be it. Champagne.

Too many to count! My cut off was last night and so I now have a small list of things to pick up.

Ocado were out of stock of mince pies by the time I remembered to add some!

Slightly more than buttercup Xmas Grin Don't worry, you need to be all zen about the turkey and decide "It Will Come"

I had one came today, and another coming 27th. The bloke today seemed to be hovering for a tip Blush Do I tip? I only have grocery deliveries at Christmas so I wouldn't be tipping them for their service throughout the year IYSWIM?

storminabuttercup · 21/12/2016 09:45

Approximately 5645. Give or take.
I've added stuff, taken stuff out, put it back in. No doubt I'll have forgotten something but it's just the three of us this year. Mildly panicked that I've never ordered my turkey online before? What if the don't send me one? It's coming Christmas Eve!
