2legit2knit I'd have a look at the other Johanna basford colouring books too. Enchanted forest has been my favourite so far! And you can use pens and pencils.

The steadtler fineliners and ergosoft pencils are great for them. There are also Marco raffine pencils (72) think they ship from china but are slightly cheaper for a larger range of colours and I really like mine

LBOCS2 · 06/12/2016 20:52

I've just pulled everything out to start wrapping it.

I'm going to be here for weeks.

deepblue · 06/12/2016 21:09

BOOTS HAVE MEGA DEALS ON SANCTUARY. Candles are £5 each but just bought 12 for £30 in four sets and some crackers for presents at school that are £10 but if you buy three they go down to £13.50 for three

SnowBodyforrrrm · 06/12/2016 22:29

For the poster who mentioned her older sons stocking was less full, I feel your pain. But last week I was in poundworld and they had loads of American sweets that usually retail for silly money from 'special' sweet shops. I got my son nerds, godstoppers, hersheys cookie and cream bar, massive six pack of Reece's peanut butter cups and more that I can't think of for a £1 each. I would usually give him so many sweet things in his stocking but they'll have the wow factor for him and stop him comparing. and I don't need to find a home for them after Christmas, yey Also I'll put a note, probably £10 or £20 in there which will go down well Xmas Grin

Dozyoldtwonk · 06/12/2016 22:41

Just popped onto say I also went for the Clinique Black Friday bargain; my little package arrived today & the freebies are amazing! I went for 2 of the little perfume samples - they're a really decent size & ideal for popping in my handbag for work! The cherry one smells exactly the same as one of my expensive old faves - Dior Poison. I also chose a men's face scrub, perfect for DH stocking Grin Mega impressed! Thanks to the poster who tipped us off!

frauleinsallybowles · 06/12/2016 22:46

primitivemom · 06/12/2016 22:55

ecofreckle · 06/12/2016 23:06

1sttimemama I have really enjoyed my Poldark colouring book, not sure if your mum's into him the show. I had fine liners mentioned above originally but now have watercolour pencils and much prefer them. Found the fine liners garish

Chillywhippet · 06/12/2016 23:30

wondermike smaller piles are the shape of things to come with older children.

at 12 your DS is old enough to understand the value of the things you have bought him?

Seems a bit pointless buying stuff he doesn't want or need just to even up the piles. Ask him if he wants low value, high volume presents or the high value stuff he wants so that he is prepared Xmas Wink

christmasmiracle · 07/12/2016 07:06

wondermike I assume at 12 your ds knows it's you not santa that provides the presents? Just tell him not to be so ungrateful Wink especially as he should understand value of gifts.
I do get it though, I have a 12yr d and an 11month old. Naturally the baby is getting HUGE cheap presents whilst dd is getting expensive but tiny presents. It's just they way it goes. She knows we have spent the exact same on both of them so it's ok

GinAndSonic · 07/12/2016 07:36

I'm after a box of knex I think, the ones with loads of pieces and some building ideas rather than an actual model.
Do I still have time to order fake superhero lego people do you think? Any UK sellers?
Wilkos has blok tech lap trays, with a Base board on and little duckets either side for lego bricks for a tenner, I'm torn between buying now and hoping they drop a little bit.
DD wants doll clothes for baby born, I'm best with eBay for prem baby clothes, right?
Also a smallish soft bodied doll, baby born size or ideally smaller, she loves her Disney Princess baby doll so something like that but not might be good.

Ann summers have discounts on nightwear, and it's not all scanty lacy stuff, there's some nice pj sets in.

verytiredmummy1 · 07/12/2016 07:56

We too have bulked up DSDs 'pile' with American style sweets. Got them from B&M, they had a whole section. DSD wanted vouchers..

SymphonyofShadows · 07/12/2016 08:00

I got the same M&S gift box as the current offer free with my Sparks. It's ok but I wouldn't bust a gut to get to a £75 spend just to get it. It has a small bottle of fizzy orange and cranberry wine drink, a small bag of shortbread and a small bag of their pretend Lindor.

DragonMamma · 07/12/2016 08:01

I also had a Boots/Sanctuary bargain last night - it was on hot deals UK. If you put any of the same 3 sets in your basket a glitch takes the price right down.

I had 3 Scent your Home sets (basically 4 different candles in each) for £31.25 when they should have been £25 each. I'll be given 2 out as gifts and separating the individual ones as teachers presents.

Kirriemuir · 07/12/2016 08:20

I have a £20 code from next which expires on 10th if anyone wants. Pm me.

CarrotVan · 07/12/2016 09:18
