They don't believe in Santa at this point!
Apart from chocolate, shower gel and pyjamas, what else? I am a bit stumped this year!
.......yes, I know that probably tells me they don't need anything.....but Santa normally brings 6 presents each in the stocking.

Thanks,I forgot ds has a car and drives (he is away at uni) may get something for the car. DH doesnt like things like that, so never bothered

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 27/11/2016 14:45

Pringles = great idea. Stealing that one!

They always get a Cadburys selection box too - it's the one thing that dp insists on because he always got them as a child.

Pens - Bic 4 colour ones still go down well. Berol felt tips.

M&S have initial candles half price at the moment, so got one of those for dd1.

I usually aim for each stocking to have:

Pyjamas
Dressing gown (if they need one)
Slippers (or fluffy socks are popular at present)
Normal socks
underwear
A book
DVD
Pens/rubbers etc (for school, but nice ones)
Tooth brush
Gloves
An item of clothing
Music (for their instrument)
Chocolates (usually plain chocolate orange)
A couple of cheap fun things like mini jigsaws or Sudoku book
Purse/bag
A couple of nice things that I've seen and know they'd like

It makes a huge stocking and most of it they'd need anyway. Dh has a fit every year when he sees what there is to wrap up. Then he calms down when he sees what it actually is.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 27/11/2016 16:16

Things like PJs etc are main presents here. Stocking is for small stuff.

Silverstar2 · 27/11/2016 16:24

Wow some of these stocking must be HUGE! I thought they were only for small things (well they are in this house....).

Some good ideas, will pinch the smaller ones.

Yoarchie · 27/11/2016 16:26

Choc coins, clothing

Sadik · 27/11/2016 16:30

DD's will include a sugar mouse after a slightly sad conversation last year when she said YES she did still like them she just didn't eat them for a long time because they were cute Grin
Otherwise fluffy socks, Owl Post earrings, Quibbler/Daily Prophet jotter pads (v. cheap from ebay for anyone with an HP fan), instant chai powder, choc bar, book, some nice showergel + of course nuts / tangerine.

HamletsSister · 27/11/2016 16:35

Biscuits
Chocolates
Posh drinks (lemonade etc)
T shirt
Calendar
Diary
Underwear
Socks
Deodorant / perfume
Make up
European adaptors

Chocolatecake12 · 27/11/2016 21:05

My ds 14 this year will have
Fruit cider
New wallet with some euros in for trip next year
Hot choc sachets
A spare inner tube for his bike
Toblerone
Jelly belly bean tube
Hair clay
Lynx deodorant

Some good ideas on here. I'll be using some of them thanks!!

FrostyLeaves · 27/11/2016 21:09

That's funny, I thought I'd be the only one "gifting" dried mango!

Yes also to mini marshmallows and hot chocolate.

Chasingsquirrels · 27/11/2016 21:20

My 14yo (along with my 10yo) is getting;

  • selection box
  • tube of smarties
  • chocolate reindeer
  • Guinness book of records
  • scout torch
  • hammock
  • bakedin mug cake mixes
  • lakeland mug (with how to make a mug cake recipes around the outside & ingredient levels inside)
  • new ipad case
  • rubix cube (well dodecahedron I think, they have cubes and I got different ones last year which they liked, so gone for different ones again this year)

I've done hot chocolate (the 1-shot sachets, sprinkle bits and squirter cream) for the last few years.

The Teenager who came to Tea (spoof on Tiger) looks good.

BestIsWest · 27/11/2016 21:37

I haven't started yet so marking place but a chocolate Santa is a must in our house.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 27/11/2016 21:46

Doing dd1's boyfriend a stocking as his present this year too. So far it has:
cookery book
Jack Daniels barbecue sauce
Jerk barbecue sauce
sweet chilli sauce
hot chilli sauce
mustard
hot chocolate

Any more ideas for not too heavy to carry on train/no refrigeration needed foodie stuff to go in there, please?

imnervous · 27/11/2016 21:47

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 27/11/2016 21:50
