So excited, nes one in stock at my local Argos so have ordered . Collect tomorrow, thanks for the help. Now, has anyone bought extension leads as I read the cable to the controller is really short? Would love recommendations. Plus a second controller, they are shockingly expensive online (presumably because they are out of stock generally) and thinking of getting a non branded copy one if anyone has any knowledge or expertise?

Double check your emails Reastie. I thought I'd managed to order one (on 3 separate occasions in 3 different stores) only to find I'd had an email saying it had been cancelled :-( Hope you get luckier than I did.

Gutted. Managed to buy a mini nes from Asos for collection within 5 days and they cancelled the order. Managed to do it a second time after ages refreshing the page and they've cancelled again!

I've had six orders (each for a single mini NES) cancelled now.
Am I wasting my time -ie is there a fault with the system) or should I keep trying and hope I get lucky?
Anyone know how argos ordering works?

I just finished reading the book, its very well written, really enjoyed it and now I want something from Jo Loves and I HAVE to visit her fragrance brassiere . The book is around tenner, so you would still have £35 left.

My dad has asked for Radio 2 Janet & John stories on CDs for Xmas (read by Terry Wogan). They are not being produced anymore, however, until 23 Dec 2016 they are offering them as digital downloads with money going to CiN.

1122 DD would love that hamper! It looks brilliant and I'm sure your DC will love it. I might make a small one won't have the same wow affect though as DD has Crohn's and her diet is very limited, also with SEN she would struggle to control herself and eat it over a month. That said I would also struggle to eat it over a long period. Will definitely get a golden ticket choc bar.

Assumed that they'd overpromised and would eventually cancel. Well mine has only gone and turned up yesterday! After I have already panic bought/assembled a diy one for ds2 out of last years M&S one!!

If it makes anyone feel better, I preordered the NES on September 18th direct from Nintendo. They are showing hat dispatch will not be until 19th December which is cutting things very close. We leave for holiday early on the 21st (will be away over Xmas and taking all presents). So the likely hood of it arriving in time for us is zero. I contacted Nintendo as I was so cross about it and they said they are fulfilling their end as it will arrive before Xmas. So despite planning and ordering way ahead, my son is not going to get his Christmas present on the day.

For those who have had nes orders cancelled by argos how long did it take them to send the cancellation through? I have one on order from friday to collect tuesday just wondering whether I'd be better tryingelsewhere

For those who bought Amazon prime recently, I've just had an email for £10 off my first £30 shop using prime now (you have to live in an area that it covers).

I haven't had a good look through, but it includes groceries and alcohol and I believe household stuff and toys so unless the prices are wildly inflated there should be a nice saving there.

Last year a lovely treasure hunt game was recommended on here- gotrovo. I bought it for Nieces so can't comment on how good it is, though it looked good.
