Do you dress up on Christmas Day?

If so, what are you planning on wearing this year?

Of course. I have an Alpine print skirt which I will pair with a plain black top and sparkly heels to travel in although will spend most of the day in my mums kitchen in slippers

No because as a child my mum used to make us put our best dresses on for the whole day so now I'm still rebelling and wear any old thing.

Not dressy dressy but I try and make a slight effort. Usually I slob around in jeans and no make up so I try a little on Christmas day. This year I'll just be wearing whatever I can breastfeed in as dc2 is due any day now.

Vaguely. I wear my usual skinny jeans but buy a new top. I straighten my hair (a rare occurance) and shove a bit of mascara on.

Only for going out to lunch at Mums though. At home it's pj's before and after.

One year said frock was a black velvet number from Tesco. Took it off that night to find it had dyed my whole bloody body black. Spent Christmas evening with dh scrubbing me in the bath

I get dressed in whatever smart - ish clothes I fancy, after presents and breakies.

DD can spent the day in pj's if they want to.

If I'm at friends or going out, yes, but usually just skinnies, and a nice top and some nice boots, Nothing with reindeers or Santa on though, 😂

It'll be pj's for all of us in my house. Granted we live in Ireland so everything is closed for the day. Also we don't do any visiting until Stephens' Day (boxing day) so no need to leave the house. My parents usually come round to visit that morning after kids have opened presents and have breakfast with us.

Growing up we always wore PJs or anything comfy, wouldn't bother doing hair and makeup (it's the only day of the year where nothing is open, you don't really go out, just want to be cosy and your family just accepts you like this)

I didn't know that people dressed up til I spent one xmas at ILs. People were wearing their best suits at their dining table they sit at every day at home. I couldn't understand it.

Vaguely, I like to wear a Christmas jumpers but with a nice skirt, tights and boots.

I've bought DS some nice new chinos and a red checked shirt to wear on Christmas Day but I've also got him a Pokemon tshirt for his stocking, so guess what won't be getting worn?! 😂

I have a pair of m & s stretchy wide leg velour trousers I always wear, with my Xmas jumper. They stay in the wardrobe the rest of the year.
We are going to a restaurant for dinner this year, I hope the velours will be ok. No waistband y'see.

As children we used to do a full nativity and all wear costumes from the story.

Probably why everyone prefers to be in the buff now. Except grandad who insists on dressing as the archbishop of Canterbury any my SIL who insists on being a bunny girl (both Christmas and easter)

Xmas jumper and jeans which is dressing up as far as i am concerned! I hate getting dressed up! Wouldve gone to dd wedding in jeans and boots if i could have got away with it!!

I don't bother, I might wear a new-ish top with skinny jeans but after presents we take the dog for a long walk and then it's back to cook lunch. It's only the four of us and my parents so I never see much point.
Plus I detest having to get dressed up. I'm only comfortable in my jeans.

Always. This year I'll be wearing a silvery grey tulle midi skirt. Not quite worked out what I'll be wearing it with though!

PJs for Christmas Dinner wouldn't be done here, but each to their own.

DD wants to spend Boxing Day in PJs though.

I always do at home, but DH rarely dresses up at all. This will be our first Christmas in our new home and DS. I'm hoping I can persuade DH to make an effort.
