Does anyone have a not on the high street code. I've seen some lovely necklaces, but a bit more than was budgeted for.

Legofriend · 10/11/2016 11:28

Just got this from Good Housekeeping about the bowls so am assuming it applies to everybody still waiting.

Just a quick update as promised with regards to your bowls. We have now received stock and are preparing them for dispatch. I can confirm your delivery with be W/C 21/11/2016.

mightyducks · 10/11/2016 11:32

Skullduggery fizz if you know some on O2 there is a code on there at the moment to get 15% off

pantherfootballforever · 10/11/2016 11:35

I've watched the JL advert and actually liked it. (Way more than last year's) - it's not really about the warm fuzzies this year I don't think - more to make you giggle! (Which I think we could all do with right now!)

I have to say I don't think it ruins Father Christmas either - surely all kids know that parents/grandparents/aunts/uncles/friends etc etc also buy gifts?!?! They're not all from FC! Plenty of Christmas adverts show parents shopping for gifts and wrapping gifts too so surely this is no different to any of them?

Anyway - I feel the twitch but am stuck at home on day 3 of sick child so no chance to get out to the shops and I am feeling the twitch to physical shopping - not online! Sad

Skullduggeryfizz · 10/11/2016 11:38

I would be very grateful if anyone has a spare not on the high street discount code. I've seen the perfect birth sign/birth stone/initial necklace for my nieces but they are more than my budget was for them. I know I will cave in in the end so a discount would be most appreciated.
I've also managed to get some Pandora style rings from the Ali Express website. They look identical to the ones in Pandora but a fraction of the price. I did buy some for myself as well as stocking fillers for others and no green fingers to report.

TobleroneBoo · 10/11/2016 11:40

Parents assemble presents whether the are from Father Christmas or not

gaggiagirl · 10/11/2016 11:42

had yes I got my vacuum storage bags today. Oddly my dad really wanted some for his birthday so I feel like a Winner!

I got the advent calendar at 8am. I got a pink Alexa chung jumper too. Totally treating myself, I'm due DC3 any day now so I'm totally telling myself I deserve it.

lionsleepstonight · 10/11/2016 11:49

I had a response from Matalan about the Alder Hey PJs. Apparently they're looking at moving existing stock from stores that haven't sold out to those who have but it doesn't seem they plan a proper restock

DiscoMike · 10/11/2016 12:01

Hema www.hemashop.com/gb are doing "choose three gifts and get one of them for free" as they say in the Netherlands. They have unicorns and nice dress up stuff as well as letter initial lights.

pantherfootballforever · 10/11/2016 12:22

Reastie and others who were looking for the Nintendo Classic Mini - you might be interested to read this review and info. No availability on Amazon or Game but Smyths website are showing it as being available from 21st Nov (maybe the second batch) so I'll be keeping an eye on their website to see if I can nab one from there next week. I guess there's a chance the likes of Game might have a small number in store tomorrow but I will likely have a child off school again so that's no good for me. Think I'll have to be doing constant online updates for the next week or two!

RoastieToastieReastie · 10/11/2016 12:28

Thanks panther, I'm still debating it but not sure if I want to encourage dd and dh to play computer games more than they do!

Symphony fingers crossed for the job.

MissRainbowBrite · 10/11/2016 12:44

Playmobil Santas Workshop Advent Calendar is half price in Smyths making it £9.99. I picked one up yesterday and it looks fab, no home delivery but quite a few stores still seem to have stock.

I totally agree. Our childrrn know they get stockings and one or two presents from father Christmas then the rest are from other people. Dd1 does anyway, dd2 isnt yet 2 so she has no idea!

ItsNiceItsDifferentItsUnusual · 10/11/2016 12:50

Another one who found the JL add a bit meh. I think what a pp said about song choice is right - an upbeat Christmas favourite would have massively lifted it.

DillieDoily · 10/11/2016 12:54

Thanks for all the Maxi Micro scooter recommendations- that der rollenshop is still a good bit cheaper even with the rubbish exchange rate

mimolette · 10/11/2016 13:11

New Look (in store, not online) is offering a £5 voucher if you buy a £30 gift card. Offer available until 16 November and £5 voucher valid on purchases of more than £5.

mightyducks · 10/11/2016 13:18

DS is 8, is he too old for the Playmobile advent calendar peeps? Can't decide if he'd like it or not

LemonLime11 · 10/11/2016 13:21

Say It Don't Spray It game cheaper version of the Speak Out game. £12.95 from Amazon or slightly cheaper from third party sellers.

Also seen this BeatBo toy for a little over £25, just ordered one for my 16m old, the reviews on it are brilliant!

SymphonyofShadows · 10/11/2016 13:31

Thanks Reastie, I don't think its for me though.

Trying really hard to stop myself buying another M&S calendar. I'm telling myself I could split it but I have nothing left to buy!

coolpatterngirl · 10/11/2016 13:35

Has anyone seen any lovely (pref Cashmere) faux fur bobble hats at a reasonable price?

Strawberryfield12 · 10/11/2016 13:38

few days after I posted on here a Rude Wines code (NOV80) which gets 12 bottle case of wine and two riedel glasses for new customers @£49.99, I decided to look into it and give it a go. You can chose between red, white or mixed case. Placed an order, they didn't ask to set up direct debit or anything, no obligation to buy more wine or anything. Hour later DH learnt about the offer and also placed an order. Three days later our wine cases got delivered both at the same time to the same address, no questions asked. Haven't opened any of the wine yet, but the descriptions sound good and the company has good reviews online. So far we haven't received any marketing calls, mail etc. Based on experience so far definitely a very good deal, especially as the Riedel glasses are quite expensive as well.

MooseyMoo · 10/11/2016 13:42

My local Argos finally has the Season 6 Chef Club Shopkins 20 pack. They are also on offer 2 for £30. I asked to check the stock to see what season it was and they brought out x6 for me to view.

Waitrose crackers are half price and I finally managed to find some nice wrapping paper for DS in Sainsburys (red white stripe with elves).
