Bebesidethesea - Lego is usually about the same in dollars as it is in pounds so definitely worth picking some up if you can - even with the terrible state of the pound you will likely still save money. The cheapest place for Lego is often Walmart and it's always worth looking in their bargain section as there are often really good things if you can be bothered to rake through it all.

Abercrombie & Fitch is way, way cheaper in the US and they ALWAYS have sales on for things like t-shirts and hoodies so perhaps something from there. Clothes and shoes in general are cheaper so things like converse etc are always a good buy. Macy's are often very cheap for branded clothes.

Christmas candy may just be arriving in the stores once Monday is past, but there won't be much out yet. If there is anything out you might find some nice different things - the US is very good at themed food so even things like Ritz crackers with snowflakes printed on them, or packets of m&ms in red & green only for instance.

One shop that will definitely have their Christmas stuff out will be Hobby Lobby and you are sure to find something in there for him - they are great for Christmas stuff but also for wall art etc... You could easily get a really cool sign or picture for his bedroom in there really super cheap. (They also always have sales on so worth checking)

If he is into games then check out Target for games - they are also generally cheaper than the UK - card games like UNO and Phase 10 are usually only $5-$6 and they are often closer to £7-£8 here.

For maths things Toys R Us will be your best bet - there is a company called Lakeshore learning which are great for educational type things and Toys R Us usually have a decent stock in if it's a big enough store. (It'a quite similar to learning resources here in the U.K. but def cheaper)

I'm in need of some inspiration, ds is just over 2, he's got a really big bedroom that we've always struggled to fill. I'd like to get him a playhouse type thing that I could put a small cooker/ washing machine/ dishwasher. He already has the ASDA wooden kitchen downstairs but I would like something for his room.

Only thing is is that i need it to be relatively sturdy.. we've had tents and cheap plastic playhouses but they never last.

The budget is about £70-£80

Thank you all, this will be my last present thanks to all you amazing people!!

MammaGnomes · 30/10/2016 08:17

I've just had an email from Emma Bridgewater for a referral code. You get a free mug if you spend £30. I get £10 off a £75 spend (which I won't use) but if anyone is planning on making an EB order you might as well bag yourself a free mug. PM if you would like it as it has my name in the referral

ScarlettDarling · 30/10/2016 08:17

Woodwaj I love that marshmallow toasting kit! Great little stocking filler for my 12 year old ds, thanks for sharing!

Kirriemuir · 30/10/2016 08:20

Good deal on QVC today for anyone looking at tablets for their kids.

Tablets

Money back guarantee until the end of January too.

TheWildOnes · 30/10/2016 08:22

FESTIVE15 isn't working for me on the Disney Store.
Also, finally went to order edible anus from toxic fox and they are out of stock. I need to be more impulsive and buy quicker!

herecomesthsun · 30/10/2016 08:31

Re Tesco, they had the Millennium Falcon for £89.99, so I tried to buy this with an Elves castle and another item to get 3 for 2. The £89.99 millennium falcon quickly sold out, but was also showing at £125!!

I then tried to get the £20 off the £89.99 Millennium Falcon at Toys R US, it is proving awkward because all items which have been discounted are excluded. In some ways this is understandable, but it is quite a challenge to find items without some sort of notional discount.

It is a bit off-putting, to be honest.

pantherfootballforever · 30/10/2016 08:38

What about something like this rogl? It's not going to be massively sturdy but also not breakable iyswim. It can come apart and be put back together easily and those foam boards are hard to wreck.

rogl · 30/10/2016 08:46

Ooo I love panther.. great price too!

Thank you so much

glenthebattleostrich · 30/10/2016 08:47

Well thanks to you lovely people, I have almost finished.

Still to get:

Dolls house from Costco
PJ's for mum (primark)
book for my Dad (Costco)
something for my 16 year old nephew (no idea, probably a t-shirt or similar, again will look in Costco today!)

Chocolates and sweets which I get weekly in my supermarket shop :)

Huge thanks, you've even sorted out the twitch toys for DD!!

rogl · 30/10/2016 08:47

Aww gutted just looked at the dimensions and it's quite small :(

pantherfootballforever · 30/10/2016 08:53

Aw sorry rogl - we have a similar one at the toddler group at our church and it's big enough for 2/3 pre-schoolers to be in it comfortably at the same time. There isn't furniture set up in it but the kids always take toys in with them. It's not the same as this one and I think likely came from some kind of educational catalogue like NES Arnold or something. Not 100% on where it came from though. Might be worth seeing if there is something b similar elsewhere

Casablanca78 · 30/10/2016 09:20

Sleepwanted - there's a post a few pages back from celticpromise about Amazon having the Hurrah for Gin book for £3.99. I've noticed Book People also selling it for this price. I've read it and it's fab, so funny. Great price as its hardback too - I'm ordering a few more as sticking fillers/presents for mummy friends!

Eva50 · 30/10/2016 09:38

Oooh, I love the marshmallow kit. Ds3 would adore it.

BrollySmolly · 30/10/2016 09:47

Is 'hurrah for gin' book good for older people (grandparents) who love to drink gin?!

BrollySmolly · 30/10/2016 09:57

I love the look of the marshmallow kit (teen Dd would love it!) but not liking the expensive shipping - anyone know of a more bargainous option?

cuphat · 30/10/2016 09:57

The mouth, feet and hands on the bear are definitely pink but ours has red fur (DD calls hers 'red bear'!). Maybe worth a look in person in case they vary.

woodwaj · 30/10/2016 10:46

I bought 4 kits so the postage didn't seem to dear! Id been out for a meal last night and ordered them when i came home. Now i am hungry again and i totally regret getting myself one!!

RJnomore1 · 30/10/2016 10:48

Code SANTA for 20% off the marshmallows apparently

BrollySmolly · 30/10/2016 11:08

I used the code to get £3 off, but postage is £3.95 Sad. I might just get one... or wait to hear a report back on what they're like!

Wait4nothing · 30/10/2016 11:11

Mud of missed out on the hurrah for him - sold out on book people and £6.50 on Amazon - if anyone sees it at a lower price again please let me know

Wait4nothing · 30/10/2016 11:11

Sorry for typos - hurrah for gin

RJnomore1 · 30/10/2016 11:13

Would anyone use a code for £20 off an £80 spend at Elemis online? I won't - its a one time code so if anyone wants it PM me. I might be a while replying as I am going off to Do Things.

RJnomore1 · 30/10/2016 11:14

Ooh Toblerone - 20% off at Feelunique if you spend £80 with code HAUNT - that will do me for the Urban Decay items! I need a few things.

Zeusette · 30/10/2016 11:31
