Ooh thanks electronic- another bargain page to follow on Facebook.mi think they too are lifting their bargains from camel camel camel.

Look ther under top Amazon price drops and select biggest relative % drops and you get a great list of things at their current best Amazon price. It's always worth a look.

HavingAnOffDAy · 25/08/2016 23:09

I'd love your recipes please Voldemort my feet are awful & I like the idea of your pamper hampers

SelfieStick · 25/08/2016 23:11

I'd love the recipe too!

Mulletover · 25/08/2016 23:24

Another request for voldemort's recipes here Grin

Ooh if anyone spots the Beano Monopoly game at a good price please could they holler - DS2 is a complete Beano but and spotted it last year (at £35. Gulp.) but I'd already bought our local monopoly significantly cheaper so didn't bother with it.
Unfortunately he has remembered it all year and keeps asking about it so it would be great if I could find a bargain one.

Indeed if anyone spots any good beano bargains that would be great. He gets the comics and annuals and has a Dennis costume. I also spotted a Dennis the Menace personalised book but on closer investigation, turns out that turns into [your name] the Menace's adventure - he would want to go along and be part of the gang and meet Dennis rather than turn into him!

For all those asking for the scrub recipes, you can mess about with the quantities to get the texture you want.

candycane sugar scrub
1 heaped desert spoon of coconut oil
1 desert spoon of extra virgin olive oil
1 cup of granulated sugar
1 tsp of peppermint extract

Melt the coconut oil in microwave for 30 seconds or until it turns to liquid. Mix all the ingredients together until well combined. Place in container with lid and it's ready to use. Just rub all over body and rinse off.

I coloured half of my mixture with red food colouring and layered it in a small Kilner jar to make it look like candy cane. You can also add essentials oils for different scents or leave it scent free but I found the peppermint essence worked fine.

face scrub
1heaped tsp coconut oil
1 desert spoon honey
3 desert spoons of oats ( I used oat bran because they are finer than rolled oats and they were in the cupboard out of date)

Mix together to make a paste. Store in a sealed container. Rub on damp skin, leave for a few minutes and rinse off.

Well August's payday is officially gone, well, the pay is anyway, blooming bills Grin so I'm going to plonk myself down in here and start stashing bits. Woohoo!

torthecatlady · 26/08/2016 00:13

I hope this is useful for someone....

Just came across these acrylic containers for the dressing table or bathroom, designed for storing q-tips and cotton pads.

Q-Tip Holder £1.77

Cotton Bud Dispenser - £2.79

Would make excellent gifts for teens (probably perfect size for a stocking?) or anyone who likes beauty stuff for that matter! Maybe teachers end of year present?

I'm ordering them for myself Blush
Two of each, one set for in the bathroom and another set for on my dressing table. I'm going to fill the q-tip dispenser with these

Also, worth mentioning there a number of different sellers/prices for these items all over ebay. Just make sure you check the feedback score first - However, always protected with paypal and eBay's "Buyer protection".

Plus, don't forget topcashback also payout on ebay purchases!! It's only a tiny amount but it definitely all adds up. If you need a referral, this is mine but there are plenty of others upthread too. When you click via a referral thread the person who refers you get's £10 when you reach £10 - so a win win for everyone!

VoldemortsNipple · 26/08/2016 00:14

Pinterest have loads of recipes but I loved these for their simplicity. It's the sugar scrub I've been using on my feet btw.

I'm going to have a go at making body butter, lip balms and bath bombs too but haven't done so yet because I need to buy certain ingredients for them. I'll post back when I've tried them Smile

EnglishRose1320 · 26/08/2016 00:17

Thanks Libertine they look perfect for my ds

Feelingblue222 · 26/08/2016 04:26

Thanks for the recipes Voldemort, they do look nice and simple! Can I ask where you normally get your coconut oil from? And probably a daft question but is the olive oil just what you'd use for cooking or some special sort?

HungryHorace · 26/08/2016 06:24

Baby and Toddler Bargain Bay made me (yes, forced!) spend shed loads while on my two mat leaves! It's a great site.

I'm struggling to think of big presents for my 3 year old DD and 2 year old DS. I might see what pops up in Black Friday or on the bargain page for inspiration.

RoastieToastieReastie · 26/08/2016 06:48

That frozen monopoly is a great price, we paid over double that for ours. Fwiw it's not as good as junior monopoly though, you can't buy houses or hotels.

Thanks Voldemort, I'm going to try the scrub and try not to eat it from my face Wink

I bought my coconut oil from home bargains for £3.99 but have since been told Aldi sell it for around 1.79

verytiredmummy1 · 26/08/2016 07:14

I bought some great bits from Tesco yesterday. It's probably store specific but they've got lots of toys reduced and their outdoor toys are very very cheap now (I got a huge ball pool for £2) xx

GinAndSonic · 26/08/2016 07:23

Tanya do you have a link to those mermaid blankets? I was tempted by the crochet ones but those ones look different, are they fleecy? And do you think it would fit a girl in age 5-6 clothes?

Mama1980 · 26/08/2016 07:25
