No Problem Voldermort - hope all goes well for them, and if anyone else near me needs the steriliser, it's here until I do the charity shop run later this week!

RJnomore1 · 28/08/2016 10:27

I'm swithering about that roller coaster - would it be good for dh and dd to build on Xmas day?

McJingles · 28/08/2016 10:34

Just checking in

featherpillow · 28/08/2016 10:36

Thanks whatdoesaduckdo. Just used your referral link.
DH will love this. It'll be hard keeping it for Christmas!

Whatdoesaduckdo · 28/08/2016 11:00

Feather I had meant to keep it for Christmas but he was out of razor blades our chemist didn't have them in stock so I have it to him - he was very impressed the handle is a nice weight and it is lovely I didn't go for any of the creams etc as the wee lamb is v fussy lol.
Pop your referral code up for others to use instead of mine

Whatdoesaduckdo · 28/08/2016 11:02

Voldermorts came across this on Facebook

Amazon Prime customers can also get an extra £15 off when you spend £60 on Baby with the code BABYGC16*

verytiredmummy1 · 28/08/2016 11:03

Thank you for referral link for razor blades. Possibly a stupid question but can you only order the blades from them or is there shops that stock them or other ones that fit them? Xx

AtleastitsnotMonday · 28/08/2016 11:08

I've hit a bit of a wall, quick out the blocks but now feeling a bit uninspired. Need a present for an 8 yr old boy, I thinks he's fairly sporty but likes the usual kind of eight yr old boy stuff, the problem is I don't really know what usual 8 yr old boy stuff is! Girls are so much easier! Budget £10-15.
Also my little bro 22 into gaming and sci fi and stuff I know nothing about! Budget £50 ish. Also recently retired Dad likes gardening, niche sport but think he has everything you could possibly get linked to that, clothes out as he has taken back every shirt etc I've ever bought! Most successful present I've got him of recent years electronic spirit Level!Hmm Yes really! How do I top that?!

Catanddogmake6 · 28/08/2016 11:08

Thanks Duck also ordered the razors. The discount worked on the one off gift box which apparently also contains another £10 discount so worth knowing for anyone interested.

itmustbemyage · 28/08/2016 11:11

Voldermort congratulations from one surprised grandma to another, my just turned 17 year old son and his GF are expecting a baby in February. I'm struggling to get my head around it, at least both my son and his girlfriend are working (apprentice waged though) but I know how hard it is going to be for them. I feel bad for wishing it was my 27 year old son who was expecting a child.
DownHereInTheHorridHouse I am in your area if the steriliser is still up for grabs, I am trying to get some bits together for them from friends and about to check out some of the free pages online because they have no money and have little idea of just how much stuff you need for a baby.
We'll have to get the bigger / more expensive stuff for them.

DownHereInTheHorridHouse · 28/08/2016 11:12

It is indeed still here if you're near me itmustbemyage, just message me and we'll see if I'm near you!

Theimpossiblegirl · 28/08/2016 11:12

Improbable, I'd chip in on a courier to help Voldemort out.

(A sentence that would make no sense anywhere else)

lionsleepstonight · 28/08/2016 11:13

Not sure if this counts as a Christmas bargain, but Crocs have 30% off if you buy 2 or more pairs. Just stocked up for next year for the kiddos.

Whatdoesaduckdo · 28/08/2016 11:14

Very tired you can only by the blades from them at the minute

monkeyfacegrace · 28/08/2016 11:17

Thanks whats, I've ordered razors too. Maybe I could pop my referral link up tonight once people have used yours? Don't want to tread on toes ☺

featherpillow · 28/08/2016 11:27

Thanks duck. I ordered the shave gel too as it said its sensitive so hopefully he'll like it.

Very kind of you, I'll pop my link up this afternoon so you get a few more first ( hopefully).

FireflyGirl · 28/08/2016 11:38

Urban Decay naked smoky pallette £17.00 delivered instead of £36.00 odd.

There is minor damage to the packaging/mirror but the powder pallette is undamaged. Only 3 left in stock.

confuugled1 · 28/08/2016 11:43

crafty and brolly
Depends on your budget for the camera...
We bought ds2 a Nikon S33 last year - currently about £60 instead of about £85 in Argos and it should be being reduced in other places as its about to be replaced by the updated version - think it's the S100 but check.

It's a good beginner camera - waterproof and drop proof. Heard of it through these threads a couple of years ago. It's a proper camera rather than a toy one so reasonable pictures but it has a child's simple mode (which means dh is also able to use it Grin ) and has some fun picture settings too which he likes.

Dc1 was into taking pictures earlier and we got him an ordinary compact - he is not as crack handed as ds2 so we weren't so worried about him dropping it. Having said that it is nice to have a very robust camera in the family so even if you don't go for the Nikon I'd definitely check out the robust waterproof cameras as it will give you peace of mind and you can also do fun things like take pics under water etc.

There's a great site that shows the cheapest camera prices at any time - got me £10 off ds's camera in John Lewis last year as it showed as being cheaper in Boots.

RJnomore1 · 28/08/2016 11:46

THANK YOU for the urban decay find I've ordered one and if it's a bit bashed looking I will have it for me 😁 and if it's ok I may give it to my God daughter

DownHereInTheHorridHouse · 28/08/2016 11:50

If anyone is doing Harry Potter themed stuff, I'm sure I have some new and unused sweetie bags from the Honeydukes shop at Universal somewhere if that would help - I bought a frog mouldingtray from ebay and some foil paper and made chocolate frogs really cheaply when we came back. They never lasted long enough for the bags though!

confuugled1 · 28/08/2016 11:52

atleast the knex roller coaster set mentioned earlier in the thread £10 instead of about £40 would be a fab £10 present for an 8 year old boy. Particularly if you don't know them too well as it covers those that like making things like Lego as well as those that like sporty stuff as its a roller coaster and motorised.

I have bought one for my 8 yr old for xmas - so thanks to the poster who spotted it!

Jessica78 · 28/08/2016 11:54

This is a relative bargain - mainly pointing it out as I'd like one myself, but can't justify it! (And no-one to buy one for!) SecretSales has got satchels from The Cambridge Satchel company at over 50% off - reduced from approx £120 to £49 - if you are looking for something for a daughter / sister in her 20's would be well received?

Also if you use my referral then I get £20 credit when you make your first purchase... (Feel free not to! But link here in case you do secretsales.com/?invite=10363599)

DownHereInTheHorridHouse · 28/08/2016 11:55

Kiko has great make-up - they have a buy 3 get 3 free offer on some stuff just now.

The £1 nail polish is fantastic - it's been on sale for a while now, so I'd imagine it will end soon.

I bought lots and will be filling a cheap acrylic display tray from ebay as a gift - they're about £2 there.

Mummyshortlegz · 28/08/2016 11:55

Thanks for the rollercoaster link, brilliant saving.

DownHereInTheHorridHouse · 28/08/2016 11:56
