Lunar the postman arrived at mine yesterday and I was super excited by a similar amount of parcels only to find out that all but one were for OH and none of them were remotely interesting :( fingers crossed some of my parcels arrive soon.

ValiumQueen · 27/08/2016 21:05

Aphrodite is that the referral scheme? So you get money too?

ilovesthediff · 27/08/2016 21:05

Place marking. After something for the DP and v stuck!

LittleReindeerwithcloggson · 27/08/2016 21:09

Bought the roller coaster, thanks for the link. Vastly inflated recommended price but £20 elsewhere so still a fantastic price. My husband daughter will love it

Methenyouplus4 · 27/08/2016 21:33

What age would the rollercoaster-I'm be appropriate for? Thought it might be nice for DS (will have just turned 12) to get some 'toys' still as most of his other gifts are clothes/books etc.

LavateLasManos · 27/08/2016 21:38

Methen I'd picked it up a while ago for DS1 who'll be 13 by Christmas

BrollySmolly · 27/08/2016 21:50

Just ordered the roller coaster for 9year old ds - thank you!

It says 7+, but think would be ideal for pre teen, teen and adults too!

Onelittlepiglet · 27/08/2016 21:51

Sorry Reastie - they used to shop to the UK! This one also looks good and is in the UK but the one haudy linked to is slightly cheaper and you get more things with it!

BrollySmolly · 27/08/2016 21:52

Also, just ordered 'Split Second' family game for £12 compared to £20 everywhere else. Ds loved playing this at a friend's house last Christmas and will be delighted!

LittleReindeerwithcloggson · 27/08/2016 22:05

Roller coaster description gives a recommended age 7-13

LittleReindeerwithcloggson · 27/08/2016 22:11

Pet Parade train and treat set £10 Smyths (half price)

Pet parade play world £12.99 Tesco (half price)

VoldemortsNipple · 27/08/2016 22:12

Fuming I missed out on the free baby box I didn't need last week. I've just found out ds1 (17) and his gf are expecting a baby in January Sad

My bargain shopping list has just got a whole lot bigger. Anybody seen a pram/cot/steriliser/bottles/blankets/babygros... for under a fiver Confused

Methenyouplus4 · 27/08/2016 22:14

Rollercoaster in the Amazon basket...Just need to spend another £10 for free postage.

backinschool · 27/08/2016 22:14

I've just noticed that the Pet Parade stuff is reduced on amazon too

Pet Parade train and treat set is £7
Pet parade play world £12.85

DD2 has asked for these - has anyone got/seen them? Are they any good?

Methenyouplus4 · 27/08/2016 22:17

Vold- congratulations. Every baby is a blessing. I had my first (relatively) young and he is still a joy and my parents dote on him (had 3 more since)!

Oreocrumbs · 27/08/2016 22:19

Voldermortsnipple I bet that was a shock but congratulations. A lovely baby Flowers

Oreocrumbs · 27/08/2016 22:20

I was aiming for the return button not the post button Hmm

Oreocrumbs · 27/08/2016 22:24

Ffs again! I haven't had a drop of alcohol I swear Blush

Anyway...... I was trying to say... That a friend who is rock bottom broke is having a surprise baby, and we have really managed to pull together most of the stuff for free or very cheap. Try not to worry, people rally round and you will probably be offered lots of things from friends and relations.

We have also found excellent quality Prams really cheap, a bit of time and effort but don't panic.

woodwaj · 27/08/2016 22:35

Congrats Voldermort!! They kept that quiet!

I am selling a cot if you are in the northwest 😅

I love a good baby bargain! Grab a load of nappies from boots now pampers are bogof and theres triple points if you spend over 40 this weekend.

Methenyouplus4 · 27/08/2016 22:40

Aldi nappies are amazing and tell them to look at pass it on /freecycle type Facebook pages. Other than a car seat and mattress, there really isn't much you need to buy new.

Lunar1 · 27/08/2016 22:44

Knex ordered, I'm going to have to hide this thread soon!!

NotPennysBoat · 27/08/2016 22:48

Congratulations Voldemort, get joining your local Facebook selling pages, always lots of baby stuff for sale on ours for next to nothing.

VoldemortsNipple · 27/08/2016 22:56

Thanks for the well wishes everyone. I'm going to meet up with gf's mum tomorrow and sort out all the practical things. I'm sure between the two families we'll get things sorted. I feel so sorry for them because they're both so young, gf is still in school and ds only has a part time job. But what's done is done and the baby will be well loved and cared for.

On the plus side, I won't have to scroll past all the fab toy bargains next year Grin Christmas is always better with little ones.

Kat3L · 27/08/2016 23:02

Thanks littlemagic, I've just ordered a rollercoaster too. It looks great!
