I never put my white lights in a box. I find reasons to have them out at diffrent times of the yaer, parties and such.

mine came down this afternoon, doesn't feel like christmas anymore, going to be sat here with kids this eve so no need to keep them up.

New Year is part of Christmas in this house. And the children like to come home to it after their first day at school and it's DS#1's b'day on Thursday and he likes it left for that. So Friday - as it should be

Mind you I'd like to be shot of it - it's getting very sad looking now...

Ours comes down on 12th night. If folk didn't put them up so early then they wouldn't be sick of them come Boxing Day!

Ours usually comes down today.

I'm normally fed up of it by now and I like the house to be not Christmassy by Jan 3rd as its ds birthday and I think its nice for the house to be all birthday focussed for him. Also if we don't take down cards and wobbly/dangly legged santas and snowmen on tv and fireplace, theres nowhere to put his birthday cards!!

This year I don't feel in a huge rush to it though. It looks nice still. I'll probably do it tommorow.
