Pigs in blankets is supposedly the proper name.

I call them bacon wrapped around sausage things.

nutcracker · 21/12/2006 20:40

I heard my old hairdresser call them something about 8 years ago and it just stuck as it seemed quite appropriate somehow: winky willies. I was thinking just the other day that I ought to change the name before 15-month-old ds catches on to it but it does seem a shame to.

WhenSantaWentQuietlyMad · 22/12/2006 10:20

Apologies to anyone who uses the term 'pigs in blankets', but it makes me cringe.

Why why why? I saw them described as "Christmas trimmings" somewhere.

BrandyTutter · 22/12/2006 10:21

you cringe at pigs in blankets but not winky willies??? !

PeachyIsNowAChristmasFruit · 22/12/2006 10:50

Sausages with bacon wrapped round

or just sausgaes tbh, its ahrdly going to be great Cumberlansds you're referring to at 1.30 on Christmas day is it>

MrsBadger · 22/12/2006 10:52

sausages wrapped in bacon, though the Sainsbury's 'garnish pack' in the fridge calls them kilted sausages.

In the BadgerSett a 'pig in a blanket' is a sausage rolled up in a slice of bread when you're too lazy to slice it to make a sandwich.

Flumpybumpy · 22/12/2006 11:23

Pigs in blankets here as well!!!
