Aqua beads are great, but I think they are far too old for a 3.5 year old. I have a 3.5 year old and she wouldn't be able to manage it. My 5yo could, and has been doing Hama for ages. She's less adept at aqua beads. They are a bit of a faff, but for a child keen on Hama, they are good.

Dds were doing them this evening and I had to end up finishing them. Hama would be easier to finish!

imip · 17/11/2015 21:47

Sorry, rereading, if you get Hama for a 3.5 yr old, probably best to get the maxi Hama - made for little hands.

We are Hama fans here and there are great ideas on YouTube/Pinterest for loads of other uses for Hama beads!

mimolette · 17/11/2015 21:49

Not really a bargain but may be of use for some difficult-to-buy for people. I have just discovered that you can buy personalised OS maps centred around a location of your choice and with a photo on the cover oscustommade.co.uk They work out at just over £15 inc postage, if you use GUARD10 (10% off).

And Wine to everyone else for all the bargains! I am nearly done, but keep being tempted with more and more stuff....

Elvish · 17/11/2015 21:49

DD hasn't tried Hama beads but loves Aqua beads. I like them because she can do it all by herself and I don't have to supervise or get the iron out. But I would agree that a 3yo will struggle unless very good with fine motor control. Have you looked at the sticky mosaics? They are much easier and something else that my DD enjoys and also mess/fuss free.

AllyourGreens · 17/11/2015 21:55

Thanks for all the bargains ladies.

Thought I'd add a couple of things I thought were good value and bought today for myself Blush
At Lidl they had the bialetti 3 cup coffee pots www.amazon.co.uk/Bialetti-3-Cup-Fiammetta-Green/dp/B004SPF82I/ref=sr_1_sc_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1447787181&sr=8-1-spell&keywords=Bailatti+3+cup+green in red, green and silver for £12.99 each

They also had some practical and nice quality but not very festive charcoal grey over the knee socks for £1.99

My well priced Lego starter sets arrived from Amazon (thanks for the heads up moosey ) As did the busy book from the Book Depository- £7.51 with free p&p- that another mumsnetter posted about (sorry can't recall your name but Flowers ) glad I took this route, ds2 will be chuffed!

MegBusset · 17/11/2015 23:04

Hello lovely bargain-hunting people. Has anyone seen the Despicable Me Fart Blaster for less than £15? Quite fancy it for the DC but don't really want to pay more than a tenner each!

zipzap · 17/11/2015 23:47

Just wanted to say a thank you to the list for reminding me about the beauty advent calendars - I've been waiting and waiting for them and nothing. Today when I was working in London for a change - started to read this thread whilst waiting for the lift to come to go home, spotted a couple of posts about it so changed direction and headed off to the nearest M&S - where I picked the last one off the shelf before heading into the beauty section to choose something. Unfortunately they only had a small selection of beauty stuff so I had to get my perfume as a standalone rather than in a gift box but much better than than to miss out!

I noticed several people hunting around for the advent calendars while I was choosing my beauty stuff so I'm very glad that I managed to get it with moments to spare!

Thanks all again Xmas Grin

Reastie · 18/11/2015 06:24

Does anyone know if the credit for flaviar referral that the referee gets from someone clicking on their link changed to £10 as I got a £10 credit and only other thing I have done is complete a 2 second satisfaction survey for them.

RJ did you get the Nutella? Lidl in K had loads of the 400g jars with the codes for £1.99 each. I'd imagine our local lidl would have them too.

Tesco are doing 20% off gift cards to a number of stores- monsoon, accessorize, itunes, new look, pizza express and mitchell&buters.
Not only thst but of you spend £50 or more on them (not including discount) and use your clubcard, you get an extra 150 clubcard points as well!

Do you think they will release amother round of m&s calendars?

SymphonyofShadows · 18/11/2015 08:05

Hooray, the Christmas Deals Predicator is on MSE now. I can keep an eye out for the Boots Soap & Glory deal and for when M&S are reducing their cards, crackers etc.

PjDay · 18/11/2015 08:33

The plan - I had booked today off to check through gifts, de-clutter the DC's bedrooms and have a leisurely coffee before going to Sainsburys to spend my nectar points in the double up.
The reality - DD2 has a rotten cold, sore throat and we are snuggled on the sofa watching MLP [santa]
It looks like a day of online shopping instead.
