Oh my word! I've just opened a few of the boxes in the M&S calendar and the gifts are really fabulous. I think I'd love to buy one for my sister but don't know what else to buy for £25. Any recommendations? I have a 19 year old DD who is after makeup or 70 year old mum.

BicycleGasoline · 17/11/2015 19:44

I know we've just had one, but does anyone know if Argos are likely to do 342 on toys again before Christmases? I was tracking some Lego on Amazon that dropped to match their prices and dithered too much so lost my chance.

TheDrsDocMartens · 17/11/2015 19:45

Thanks *neddle

WindTheFrog · 17/11/2015 20:02

I haven't even seen the M&S advent but now I really need one.

Has anyone seen any address books but with big space for writing. Dnan is 93 and her eye sight isn't great so I need to be able to write really big in there.

Stokey · 17/11/2015 20:22

Good to hear Exasperated. Do they use them as a daily scooter, like to school and back, or just to play?

CRtester · 17/11/2015 20:26

How about this one Wind?

GirlWithTheYellowHat · 17/11/2015 20:32

Does anyone have an opinion on aqua beads. Are they as good as Hama? My 3.5 yo DD has seen the ad and keeps asking about them but don't know if they're rubbish!

ExasperatedAlmostAlways · 17/11/2015 20:35

My youngest dd alternates between her bike and scooter to go to school. My eldest dd thinks she's too grown up to go on anything to school, might affect her image haha but the scooters been used every day since last Xmas except really wet days when she's stayed in. She never used her bike at all now and always uses the scooter.

Unsure if this has been posted before...

Code BO25 gives 25% off at Crabtree and Evelyn plus a free hand cream when you order online.

2legit2knit · 17/11/2015 20:53

Has anyone seen any code for somewhere that sells kindle fire 7? I'd really like to only have to pay £50 (including the no adverts supplement) I'm desperately trying to stick to my budget!

SnozzberryPie · 17/11/2015 20:54

Has anyone seen any bargainous photo albums? Mil has asked for some.

Sainsburys double up on nectar starts tomorrow on toys, clothes, Christmas, selected housewares and selected electronic. I think some booze was included but I didn't look too closely as needed the pharmacy before it closed

yumyumpoppycat · 17/11/2015 21:25

Bicycle I managed to get a good deal on amazon france for an expensive lego set I was looking at. At first it was more in Euros than in £ but I kept checking and randomly they dropped in price to the point where it was almost half the RRP even after fees and postage (partly as I also ordered a couple of other things). Once it has been delivered and I know the final cost on my credit card I will report on true bargainousness!

margaritasbythesea · 17/11/2015 21:25

Girlwithayellowhat - they are pure and unadulterated torture. I quite like Hama Beads!

Why?
The plopper doesn't plop the bead into the hole.
The beads spill out of the box and are really difficult to pick up because they are so light
The slightest touch will jerk all the balls out of their little holders - much more so than Hama
The things you make look even less like the thing they are supposed to be than Hama beads.

If you buy them, I pity you. We were all almost in tears that Christmas, including the uncles!

QwertyBird · 17/11/2015 21:34

20% off Lee Stafford chopstick hair styler @ Argos. It gave me free home delivery too. £15.99 delivered is a bargain for me!

ExasperatedAlmostAlways · 17/11/2015 21:35

Does anyone know of any good deals for advent calendars for fils that aren't too expensive? Ones six and ones eleven and she'd be into a beauty one.

LimboNovember · 17/11/2015 21:36

does anyone know how long tesco club boost lasts for?

WindTheFrog · 17/11/2015 21:40

CRtester I love that I've been stumbling around for days, post on here and you find me something less than half an hour later of me asking. Never mind bargain shopping this thread is present impossible finding! Thank you so much!!

ARockNRollNerd · 17/11/2015 21:42

Snozzberry this one from Amazon is good, £2.50 but it is an add on. Good if you're ordering anything else though.

GirlWithTheYellowHat · 17/11/2015 21:43

Thanks Margaritas, I've just been researching and was coming to the conclusion that they looked pish. Glad your review confirms this. Might go down the Hama route and see what she thinks
