Oh Scandinavia I never thought of that.. Thanks!

Does anyone remember the trick someone mentioned to turn Amazon.de into English? It wasn't just translating, it was an Amazon thing.

HY439WEYMG got me an extra 20% off at Debenhams tonight, I don't think it's single use.

Iggi999 · 15/11/2015 23:17

Sorry, Scandi, auto-correct!

Flat mouse can you replace the strap?

Littlemousewithcloggson · 15/11/2015 23:23

Ineedahug
We seem to have a whole sylvanian land here but favourites are the sylvanian car and caravan and the hotel. Biggest waste of money was the canal boat and the windmill. Treehouse gets some play too

Pobspits · 15/11/2015 23:32

Just ordered dd and 2 of my nieces some Lottie dolls. Just a reminder that on Amazon under special offers on the Lottie pages are codes for 20% off or 4 for 3. I got 2 school girl dolls, a pirate doll and a splashingn puddles girl. Dd and dn3 are 5 and 4 and have just started school so thought they'd love the school girl ones. The dolls cost £50 because u got the 4th free .

Ineedahug · 15/11/2015 23:58

Ooh thanks littlemouse, will look at those.

Iwanttobeadog · 16/11/2015 00:04

I bought a replacement strap for my Fitbit from Amazon, was about £2

zipzap · 16/11/2015 00:35

Many thanks to everyone for the info on the cheap smartphones for ds1 - it's been a hectic weekend so will look at carefully tomorrow when I have a moment; it's all very much appreciated.

Somebody was wanting personalised santa sacks - I'm just clearing out my email and have spotted that Asda do them - currently on offer for £10 instead of £22: (several different designs)
www.asda-gifts.co.uk/Search/Key/hessian%20sack?cm_mmc=NewsletterPERSONALISEDGIFTSASDA_Gifts*2015

iggi - re the german amazon - I spotted a link to the english version - albeit with 'beta' after it - in the top navigation under the search bar - with things like Your Amazon, Today's Deals, Gift Cards, Help etc.

Catanddogmake6 · 16/11/2015 00:36

Amazon briefly dropped the price of the Sylvanian car to £15 odd from nearly £19 the other day for a brief period. Worth watching what Amazon are doing on prices but generally they have the cheapest prices I have seen already, Ineedahug. Still hoping for a bargain though on either Sylvanian caravan or Playmobil tractor for DD who's 3.

Thanks for the tips on Jaeger and Joules. Although so cross did not see extra joules code before buying. However the saving on DHs jaeger coat will make up for it as long as it fits. Fingers crossed.

ItStillLooksLikeRainDear · 16/11/2015 06:54

Toys r us are giving the sylvanian family saloon car away free with a £50 spend on other sylvanian family items.

lazzaroo · 16/11/2015 07:28

Thank you sitsonfence, I ordered last night anyway without code. Panicked it might go out of stock if I waited!

ItStillLooksLikeRainDear · 16/11/2015 07:38

Just had a CCC alert. That lovely big Maps book is down to £7 hete already have it for DS - it's so nice.

Reastie · 16/11/2015 07:43

Rain I came on for the same thing! We have that book and it's lovely.

FernArable · 16/11/2015 07:46

Thanks itstill I was considering that Maps book and you convinced me!

flatmouse · 16/11/2015 08:28

iwanttobeadog replacement strap for charge hr? I thought you couldn't with the charge hr as it was all kind of joined together, but you can for less expensive models because you can pop out the actual chip/working bit.

flatmouse · 16/11/2015 08:57

Tidying through huge pile of "filing", have found hotel chocolat codes.... 15% off if you spend £50 with XMAS15XX8CTE and free deal if you spend £50 (thought it was anyway) with SLEIGH9C4HG7
It does say "just for you, but presume it's not! Expires 30 November.

MaryMagdelene · 16/11/2015 09:31

Any ideas what to get a 13 year old boy who isn't into Lego anymore (more's the pity!) he's a very smart little lad on the debate team etc etc. I'm veering towards a voucher but would love to find something totally random. He's the hardest on my very long list to buy for...

Avebury · 16/11/2015 09:41

My Friend Cayla currently £30 on Amazon Lightning Deals

NicoleWatterson · 16/11/2015 09:47

mary what about a driving experience? Mercedes Benz world used to do off roading as long as they are over a certain height.
There's a few young driver centres around the country that do normal driving

zipzap · 16/11/2015 09:48

Mary Depending on your budget - how about a Rubiks cube with lots of squares?

I was at a geeky event recently where somebody had one that was 11x11 and got it out at the coffee break - and it was all everybody (grown ups!) there wanted to see Grin I think the 11x11 ones are pretty expensive but you can get 7x7 or 9x9 ones a lot more reasonably if you hunt on amazon and ebay. There are also different shapes like dodecahedrons rather than squares that could be fun.

MaryMagdelene · 16/11/2015 09:51

Thanks girls I'll check both out. The experience thing may not work as I'm in Ireland but I'll check it out anyway.

Penguinbeaver · 16/11/2015 09:56

Thanks for the Maps book that been on my ccc list for awhile now.
Tescos have Raffaello chocolate boxes 2 for £7 at the moment. Usually £5 each.

ExploraDora · 16/11/2015 09:57

What about a magazine subscripton Mary - something like The Week, Focus or Mental Floss? They would give him plenty of topics for debating :)

TobleroneBoo · 16/11/2015 10:08

I havent bought any gifts at all this weekand & I am getting antsy!
Still on my list to buy at a bargain price:

Car Hoover ( any recommendations?)
Hot Water Dispenser
Blu- Rays

So if anybody spots any Argos / Currys / Halfords or Blu-ray deals please shout Flowers

MaryMagdelene · 16/11/2015 10:13

Dora that's a good idea! Off to research that one now...

CRtester · 16/11/2015 10:17

Toblerone there was a car hoover on amazon deal of the day just a few days ago. Don't know how many sold though. Might be worth holding out for black Friday in case they put it on again?
