MakStout · 26/10/2015 14:23

Do I need to register a new account for Amazon.de for the cheap playmobil?

zipzap · 26/10/2015 14:29

I've just bought one of these cute xmas mouse hole decal stickers for $1 - thought around christmas I'd just put it onto a skirting board somewhere without mentioning it and see if the dc notice...

They're supposed to come off afterwards without spoiling the paint but I haven't used one before to know how true that is!

I've also bought these sweet [http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/10PCS-Christmas-Tree-Ornament-Santa-Envelope-Candy-Stocking-Gift-Bag-Xmas-Decor/272016045113?_trksid=p2045573.c100033.m2042&_trkparms=aid%3D111001%26algo%3DREC.SEED%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D33834%26meid%3D19b1a27e62b942379bffe264299d600d%26pid%3D100033%26rk%3D4%26rkt%3D4%26sd%3D181882760373 letter to santa decorations]] - 10 for £2.85

It looks like they are actual envelopes, albeit made out of felt, that would be big enough to put a lolly or some small sweets etc in. Will decide later whether to use them as decorations or as gift tags to fancy up a present...

zipzap · 26/10/2015 14:30

oops sorry, link failure in previous post...

Try: letter to santa decorations

itsonlysubterfuge · 26/10/2015 14:31

TimonAndPumbaa I contacted them because mine was a week late and they gave me an automatic refund, it came a few days later. I found it was really ugly though and nothing like the pictures, so would have asked for a refund anyway.

Iggi999 · 26/10/2015 14:33

Playmobil nativity came today, looks lovely but holding off till December or late November to open it.
Cross as I've just typed up my full list into a new Christmas app, and only then realised it does not sync with my phone. Last year's one did, but this new one seemed to have better features. Back to the old one!

woodwaj · 26/10/2015 14:35

spotty I find Matalan orders are always delayed if something is out of stock. Its like they are afraid to tell you and put it off as long as possible Angry

ChipperNipper · 26/10/2015 14:36

Don't make passive agressive comments spotty.

Either have the courage of your convictions or say nothing. I will report the next one regardleas of how innocuous you try and make it.

Iggi999 · 26/10/2015 14:40

Christy thank you for the sword info. Do you (or anyone!) know how to search for a particular seller on aliexpress? I've tried everything I can think of but getting nowhere! There are zillions of swords, some at £13!

SpottyTeacakes · 26/10/2015 14:41

So sorry chipper let me elaborate. Every year on the bargain thread there is someone who moans about how things are done, weather it be people thanking Reastie for the new thread/place marking, using deals they've seen on HDUK, chatting instead of just posting bargains etc. It's just pointless and then they go on and on and on about it.

I'd like to see you report my previous comment and Mumsnet remove it I think that would be pretty pathetic as 'there's always one...' Is hardly a direct attack or name calling.

Smile (passive aggressive smiley for you)

Mipe · 26/10/2015 14:41

Spotty I had the exact same thought! I love reading the general chat Smile.

SpottyTeacakes · 26/10/2015 14:42

Wood it does say it's been dispatched just in a separate parcel so hopefully it'll come tomorrow

ChipperNipper · 26/10/2015 14:44

I have reported it.

Why would you'like to see me report it?' Are you trying to goad me?

And I've been on these threads since the beginning so you don't need to teach Grandma to suck eggs.

SpottyTeacakes · 26/10/2015 14:47

Oh you're being ridiculous now.

Does anyone know if the m&s food hampers will have any offers before Christmas?

ChipperNipper · 26/10/2015 14:51

That is the third personal attack you have made.

I can only assume you feel as if you are among friends and they will back you up or I will be goaded into attacking back.

It is childish playground bullying tactics - as I have pointed out to MN.

I will not rise to it. I will just report.

woodwaj · 26/10/2015 14:53

Hope it arrives for you spotty

RoaringForties · 26/10/2015 14:56

Mince pie anyone?

Catching up with the thread and I've just realised that my Saltrock parcel hasn't come. Humph.

PjDay · 26/10/2015 14:58

Chipper I too have been on the bargain threads from the beginning and have often seen small bouts of 'chat'. Quite frankly I don't feel we have done anything wrong. I find your mocking 'mavis' rather rude, but that's your own look out.

SideOrderofChips · 26/10/2015 15:00

Hello all im back!!

My little pony 3d bag Ours arrived today and its fab for the price

Also the Playmobil pool arrived and its HUGE for what i paid for it £12.53.

Also the Haynes star wars manuels are £3.99 on amazon. Pretty sure i saw Doctor Who ones too. Definitely Star Trek ones. Good present for a geeky husband?

Collieputthekettleon · 26/10/2015 15:03

Just catching up. Thank you for the new thread! Hopefully I can share a good offer soon. Smile

SideOrderofChips · 26/10/2015 15:03

And i like the chat. Chipper were you annoyed at the posters on previous threads congratulating me on the birth of my ds1? As that took up about a page and a half Grin

A bit of chat is lovely to me, its a sense of community. but i will stop there before we fill this thread up and Reastie names the next one 'the one where we stop bickering

itsonlysubterfuge · 26/10/2015 15:07

Iggi I think this is the minecraft store.

MooseyMoo · 26/10/2015 15:07

My Playmobil order arrived today. The Deep sea diver which was £4.50 came in a box and now wish I had bought more for the present box.

chipper It was unnecessary and did appear rude to ask others to start another thread as they were chatting about their local area. I personally like it when I read about others discovering they live/shop near each other. You've made your point, some of us disagree with you. Let's carry on with finding and sharing bargains.

SitsOnFence · 26/10/2015 15:11

She is among friends. As are you Smile (genuine, non passive aggressive one)

I, personally, love the extra banter that goes on, even the local stuff. I'm currently miles away from home stuck in a hotel working, and was lurking as usual and enjoying all the 'it's a small world' conversation. I do think your heart was in the right place, your comment just read rather poorly.

I thought that Spotty replied in a lovely, gentle manner. Reminding us all that we've had variations on this same discussion every year and always concluded that general 'I'm getting a new ASDA' type chat is welcomed and gives the threads a community feel for lurkers like me to enjoy.

In other news, I have juster ordered some little AliExpress Lego Friends sets with good reviews to go with this bargain £5 set that I ordered from Tesco Direct. Not sure what quality the Ali lego will be, but I had some success with Lego Movie minifigures from Ali last year and so thought I could just use the Friends figures from the sets if they turned out to be awful. The Ali sellers I have bought the little sets from are this one and this one. All 3 of the little sets I ordered were under £2 each.
